O hai, private T-Mobile launch event

Well, we all know what went down last time T-Mobile held a private launch event in NYC… G1 time. Well guess what folks, a little invitation hit our inboxes earlier today and it looks like T-Mobile has another shindig all lined up for April 21st. Ruh roh! So what do our pals at Tmo have in store this time around? While the upcoming Sidekick LX Blade 2009 etc is fresh on everyone’s minds right now, we’re guessing this is going to be a G2 announcement — sorry Sidekick faithful. We’ll be on hand at the event, live-blogging whatever it is T-Mobile throws our way, but until then… Speculation time. Talk amongst yourselves.

and we care about launc partys with sidekicks because…………….?
Forget Sidekick…..I pray that they move away from those. Won’t be iphone, Samsung, Nokia, etc. I wonder if they are moving toward the netbook market…..nope….the network can’t handle the 3G. I’m not getting my hopes up because I’m tired of being disappointed.
I’d be damned if the iPhone left AT&T. Most likely in 2010 apple is going to do buisness with them again because of the success they’ve had.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a 3G BlackBerry!! (I know,keep dreaming :-/ )

again i ask how does one cop an invite to one of theses carrier launch parties???
By using standard english language.. Such as but not limited to: “May I be please be invited to your event”, “I would like to enjoy this occasion with you” etc….
But it will most likely be a smartphone without a physical keyboard. You would have to make a choice between the two, G1 or G2.
I could have waited as I only bought my G1 three weeks ago. But on the assumption that the G2 will be more like an iPhone in form factor, I opted for the G1 because I need a keyboard, one that has hard plastic keys.
I am not concerned about the G2 being a supposed improvement. No way Google, HTC and T-Mobile are going to make the G1 an outdated phone so soon after its debut (7 months after its introduction).
The G1 will have available all the supposed cool OS features the G2 is rumored to have.
If T-Mo burned G1 “first adopters” that would build distrust and cause loyal customers to switch carriers. T-Mo is not in the business of making decisions that results in loss of customers.
In fact, they act the opposite, what can they do to attract new customers and keep the existing ones. “Bricking” phones sold for top dollar seven months ago is the quickest way to lose a loyal customer base.
thanks for the advice on using proper english but who exactly would i be addressing professor dork? Now…anyone have a REAL idea how to bag an invite?
How about emailing T-mobile and hoping for a miracle.

Which part of standard English says to use periods like they’re going out of style?
Fucking grammar nazis should spend less time worrying about how others type, and a lot more worrying about how much of a jackass they look like when they worry about how others type.

Just curious, but I thought the word “english” (sic) is supposed to be capitalized.
And I thought the period or comma goes on the inside of a quote mark.
If you are gonna correct, be correct when correcting. LOL.
Exactly lol. Obviously he’s a troll since instead of answering my post, he decided to play grammar police instead ha ha ha. Btw, just saw on engadget theres an overseas launch party planned on the same date & its blackberry related.
Can’t wait. I’m hearing its going to be 4 phones introduced.
O hai. Its Apr 21. Whats the news from Magenta, BGR?
well its 4/21.
where’s the news?
You guys are funny. And it could be the iPhone. It’s already contracted by TMO Europe. Why wouldn’t they make a leap of success into the US??? And as for another post I saw. It very well could be a BlackBerry. I work for TMO and a BB rep told me that TMO will be releasing two, TWO full qwerty handsets in Q2 or Q3. That’s two big launches. So who knows. BB throws crazy launch partys. And they also have open bar. Besides throwing sweet party with booze and women. They would be cocky enough to drop 2 handsets at once the way they’re runnin. The 8300 series Curve was #1 selling handset in the world last year. They got $ to blow.
You have to work for tmo. I get invites all the time. But you have to bring yourbadge to get in. No luck for you lil guy.
