LG’s Voyager 2, enV 3 for Verizon Wireless get pictured, blurred

One of ninjas just came through with pics of LG’s update to the popular but oh so craptastic Voyager. The LG Voyager 2 (original, huh?) is obviously going to hit Verizon soon, and for an extra treat, we’ve got pictures of the handset with the LG EnV3 as well. We’re working on specs and release dates, so bear with us ok? In the meantime, hit the bounce to check out the rest of the shots!

Thanks, to my ninja #/1!

    I have a friend that has the Iphone and it the battery goes out you have to send it back. I have been with Verizon for many years and their service is the best. I have tried many phones but LG puts out about the best. No one mentions the Dare, or Versa. You even can buy a gaming pad for the new Versa. Why does everyone get on the other two kinds.

    Love my Voyager, nothing’s compared to it ever…mobile TV, unlimited video recording, and there is no better sound as a phone either, with the handset or my stereo blue tooth…

    okay, i have AT&T and they don’t have any good phones at all…. at least when i upgraded they didn’t. The only phone that i would actually consider getting now that is not a smartphone is the samsung impression. I wish that i could actually have Verizon. I think the voyager and the env are great phones I play with my friends all the time. Right now i am stuck with a pantech duo which is an epic fail. I wish that lg would release something like the voyager for AT&T.

    Wow….I can’t believe this. The Voyager is supposed to look much MUCH more luxurious than the EnV. For example, the internal directional keys on the first Voyager…a nice little plus with the silver-trimmed OK button and the fancy-looking keys. Not much, but hey…sure beats the boring old rocker that the EnV2 had. Now they are almost identical! I couldn’t tell which was which when I first looked at the comparison picture until I saw the larger internal screen.

    And as for the EnV2…why in the world did they bring back the same internal speakers that the EnV had?? That’s a HUGE downgrade if you ask me. The front keypad looks like it’ll have the same problem as the EnV2 had…that is, eventually it’ll stop working.
    And they took away the chrome trim…WHY?? Were they just trying to avoid it chipping away like the later models? Why not just actually make the entire chrome strip CHROME instead of just painting it chrome?
    The EnV3 looks like it’s a dumbed-down version of a blackberry now…

    Oh, and notice how the Voyager 2 looks thinner…but at the same time it looks just as wide and tall as the old Voyager did. I can see that having a vary awkward grip…much like the iPod Touch does.

    And what’s up with that Voicemail button in the top left??? Why can’t there just be an FN key like the older models…I’d much rather have that. Would people really rather get the phone out of their pocket, open it up, then press the button and close it so it isn’t on speaker? Or would they rather just hold down 1 on the front keypad? I’m not sure how it works for the first Voyager, but I’m sure it’s just as easy to access from the original ways.

    IMO, this is NOT a Voyager and it never will be. I could see it being a EnV Touch like most most people are saying, but nothing more than that. It doesn’t deserve the Voyager title.

    You know. I had the EnV in Orange and LOVED it. I upgraded to the EnV 2 and for the first few months LOVED it. Except for the smaller outer screen, but could deal with that. Then it started messing up. Got it replaced about 7 times when they finally upgraded me early to the Voyager. I liked the Voyager for the first week I had it. THEN it started going haywire. It would shut down in the MIDDLE of a phone call or in the internet. It would do funny things and make funny noises. After getting IT replaced about 4 times, I finally said “Screw it” and have not gone back to get it replaced again. I like the idea of the phone and I like it when it isn’t messing up … but why on EARTH would reproduce it in a newer model with everyone having problems. Or is it just me who is having the problems? I don’t know.

    Yeah…that’s a big problem for the Voyager. No one knows why it does that, you’re just lucky if you get one that doesn’t do it. I have heard that people getting the black Voyager have better luck, though.

    Oooh…I just noticed something…there’s no TV symbol on the Voyager 2. Could that mean they’ve taken away the TV feature? Or maybe it actually isn’t a Voyager, but another extension off the EnV family?

    I just noticed something … the space key is now going to be in the middle! I don’t like that. That is one reason why I didn’t get the Glyde, cuz the space key was in the middle, not on the end. I tried typing and had a horrible time with it.

    Why MUST they always change things?!?

    This is stupid ….no offense :( I love my env2!!! the only fall back is the front screen. if they fix that then im good to go. My friend has ATT and she doesnt even have service in her house. she has to go outside to text… it sucks!!!! So whould you rather have a good phone or a crappy service???? You might want to rethink what your saying on here.

    Most of you VZW complainers are just plain idiots. Something brought you to VZW in the first place – what was it? If you’re so unhappy now, what that tells me is that you simply didn’t do your homework up front and are really just mad at yourselves because now you’re stuck in a contract with a phone you hate because you failed to do your research. How exactly is that Verizon’s fault? Remember kids, you can’t judge a book by its cover. And for those of you talking about switching to AT&T — what good is your “nice” phone if it doesn’t work when you need it? Good luck with that. Same for T-Mobile. I suggest that you do your homework this time, or you’ll be right back where you are now with a top-of-the-line phone, complaining about a bottom-of-the-line carrier.

    I also work for verizon, Love my voyager, and has anyone looked at the Versa? It has it’s own Unique setup, qwerty keyboard that is attachable so take it with or without. As previosuly said the ENV2 had issues with the OK key on the front so the new design is to put an original look of a flip to the phone with the directional keys and OK key. The ENV touch on the other hand should be the predecessor of the voyager, but in a smaller version. Not sure why they decided to go with the ENV touch as the name.

    Verizon Indirect Agent employee here.
    Voyager = win.
    I had it. Both black and titanium. No problems. Cracked my black one’s screen, got titanium through insurance. In the year and a half since the black Voyager came out, I’ve seen MAYBE 30 come back with manufacturer’s issues. It does not suck. If you’ve had a defective one/few, I apologize. It happens. With damn near every phone. Some of you may just be unlucky.

    Env2 = some problems.
    ‘Been seeing more of these come back over the last 6 months with issues. Most common are sh*t charging port (most of which I think is user error), random shutting off, buttons stop working.

    Voyager 2 = Guess what.. VOYAGER 2!!
    First off, it is called the Voyager 2. Second, I look forward to this because it addresses the complaints of bulkiness.

    Env3 = possible win?
    Again, it addresses the physical complaints of small external screen and D-Pad. I sincerely hope the charging port is good on this incarnation. ‘Been waiting for this one for a while.

    Dare = win.
    It’s a good phone. Maybe seen 3 come back.

    Versa = different, not for everybody.
    It’s a cool concept, I like the new UI, could’ve done better though.

    LG in general = win.
    They do not have battery problems. Period. More than I can say about Motorola. Signal strength = win. In an area with coverage, of course. It’s not my fault your phone doesn’t work in your house. Nor anyone else’s. IDFKY. It happens. Get over it.

    FYI, I have the Storm now with .148 and love it. And yeah, I don’t get reception in my house. I’m okay with that.
