Motorola @ CTIA: MOTOROKR S305 stereo headset
Motorola had plenty of handsets and accessories on display this year but the one that caught our eye, aside from the Evoke of course, was the MOTOROKR S305 Bluetooth stereo headset. Think of this headset as the S9-HD’s first cousin — Moto basically wanted an over-ear option for its customers with pricing and functionality that would position it well along side the in-ear S9 headset. The over-ear design also allows Moto to spread device controls out and really removes the need to ever touch your handset while listening to music. Power, rewind, fast forward, play/pause and a volume rocker are all spread across the right ear piece along with a send/end button and a mic; yep, the S305 is equipped to handle all of your Bluetooth calling needs to avoid the need to fumble for your phone when a call comes in. As far as sound goes, it’s difficult to judge the audio quality while standing in the middle of the CTIA show floor. The music we sampled sounded pretty clear and bright though, and the volume definitely gets loud enough to drown out most surrounding noise. Pricing for the ROKR S305 stereo headset will be between $40 – $70 and it is already shipping to distributors around the country. Hit the jump for more hands on images.

I really miss my old Motorola over the ear headset, can’t recall the exact name of the model, but it really sounded great for a BT headset and was much better than pretty much every set of headphones…wired or not…that I owned at the time. Except, of course my Sennheisers…
OOOMMMFFGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Badass Stereo Bluetooth: $70
Taking a photo to show size comparison: Incalculable
Outing the next gen moto for att in the process:
Priceless!!
WHAT IS THAT PHONE?!?!?!?
Nice going Motorola I’m really impressed.
Sent via BlackBerry.
the old ones like this were pretty good, but hurt my ears after wearing for about 1 hour. what would be cool is if they had an microSD slot…

I have a pair of s9 headset and really like the sound. They are not as comfortable as I would like because they are in-the-ear style. If the sound is as good as the s9 I will buy these for sure.
weak sauce…. thanks wobbly
Definetly should have put a better phone in that picture. That thing = POS Head phones = AWESOME
I have the old headphone, can’t get replacement ear pads, looking forward to get these and trying them out, but I am looking forward to paying $70, But I belive it will be about $100+ when it comes out.
jbl 610 rulez
Buy now direct from Motorola at $60
I ordered mine last night!
I now have both the phone shown in the picture (the EM330) and s305 Headphones. They go great together. The phone was a free upgrade on AT&T to re-up on their 2 year contract, and it surprises me everyday with its feature set. It even has crystal talk.
Anyway, these headphones are very light and comfortable with great dynamic range and plenty of volume.
One cool thing you can do with these headphones is redial the last number you called by pressing and holding the call button.
They are very feature friendly, e.g. the nice tones they make when increasing and reducing the volume, or powering them on or off.
I’m looking forward to going biking with them on. Walking around the city and on the Chicago El train has been great.
any reviews of these cans available online yet?
Here is the only review I can find, it is from letstalk :

I had was amazed when I went downstairs while wearing these headphones in my duplex leaving the phone upstairs, with no loss of music as I walked back upstairs to find my phone.
Also I have now been out on the trails on my bicycle, leaving the phone sealed in a baggie in my bike bag. I have received telephone calls while listening to music, just a touch to my ear to take the call. These are as good or better sound than the regular wired headphones I’ve had.
I love the control they give me, changing tracks and volume as I please. I was wearing glasses and a bike helmet and I had no problems at all with comfort or button navigation.
Motorola should send free headphones to reviewers…. someone needs to tell folks how good these are.
Does anyone know how well these will mate with a computer? I have a Dell with an internal Bluetooth card, and will want to mate with it as well as my Blackberry.
Your PC and your Blackberry need to support the Bluetooth profile A2DP to be able to play music over bluetooth. This is an industry standard.
If you want to be able to use the Next Track, Previous Track, Play and Pause features then your Cellphone must be able to handle another industry standard bluetooth profile for remote control AVRCP.
By the way, I found another review saying that these headphones are “Best Buy” :
