Google Mobile app with voice search now available for BlackBerry
Many BlackBerry users had a little iPhone envy when Google first released its mobile app with voice search for the iPhone. We all knew ‘Berry’s day would come however, and this morning Google announced the Google Mobile App for BlackBerry with voice search. Gone are the days when we had to spend that extra two seconds to type in our search — unless of course the voice search gets buggy as the iPhone version sometimes does. You can also use Google Maps, Gmail and all things Google (well, almost) in the app which makes searches and location-specific queries a breeze. Speak clearly and normally when using the voice search and results are quite accurate; there is even a British English feature as well if you have a heavy accent. So get to downloading if you have BlackBerry OS 4.1 or higher, but note that voice search only works for 4.2 and above.

You’re missing the story BGR, look at the google blog comments. It seems most people on Verizon can’t get this to work and there is some error in the program.
It’s because winmo is fail
I got it to work on my Verizon 8330 Curve, but it can get buggy sometimes. When it does a search and then I try to cancel it, it’ll freeze and I’ll have to do a soft reset to reboot it.
I for sure thought this program was not working – I am using verizon and can’t get it to work, it always says to re start google mobile app

I think that Vlingo offers a functional voice search in addition to numerous other voice commands as well. It is a great tool for those who prefer voice navigation. Personally I prefer using keys though…
iPhone just came out with the new version called Google Thought. Now all we have to do is think and you get the results.

This upgrade works great on my Bold. I kind of like the voice search feature and the fact it uses my gps to try and aid in finding the best search results.
