iPhone OS 3.0 screenshot walkthrough

One of our ninjas just sent us in shots of the iPhone running OS 3.0, so we figured we’d put them together inĀ  gallery for everyone. There aren’t any earth-shattering features in here, but still, it’s always good to have a gander at what’s to come. Hit the gallery link for the shots!

Thanks, Robby!

P.S. For all your workaholics, we’ve been told there is Exchange 2007 remote search built into the mail application now.

Can anyone verify this? I just saw this posted somewhere else. If true, I guess thats how Apple will keep it from leaking.

“I am currently looking into the new iPhone/iPod Touch OS 3.0 that was beta released today. I know that if you don’t have a developer account, your iPhone/iPod is basically useless because you must confirm it and if you don’t, the the iDevice can’t connect to iTunes or do anything else.”

    No iPhone for me.

I called AT&T after watching the keynote video this morning. They want a whopping $750 deposit per line before they’ll talk to me about an iPhone.

I’m currently on Alltel (Verizon) with my Wife and I believe we only paid $200 per line. This was years ago now.

A $750 deposit per line? Don’t take this too personally but that tells me your credit rating must suck. I’ve never heard of such large amout of deposit for a cell phone. Good luck buddy!

Because your credit is fucked up! Pay your bills and maybe in a 5-6 years from now you’ll be able to get one.

This is a great day for all iPhone users, and a pointless day for most everyone else, and a day of bitching for those who hate the iPhone. The phone came out and had amazing sales, people love this phone. I work for AT&T as an RSC (the guys in the store) and day in and day out people come in for this phone, no matter what features it lacks.

The basic facts are that it does suck that these features are just now coming out on a 3.0 release. They aren’t earth shattering to a non-iPhone user, but to anyone with an iPhone 3G these are some well needed and wished for applications/upgrades.

And to anyone who wants to shit all over this, just remember back in the day when no phone had some of these features and in order to get them you had to buy a completely new phone; now it’s a software upgrade.

The iPhone is bar-none the best bang for your buck from Big Blue right now (and i say that as a diehard Crackberry fan … i’ve been begging for a Bold since it came out); period. The Vu is a piece of shit, and the Eternity is $10 USD cheaper.

The Bold is amazing but too expensive … WinMo has been blowing it for years … and (it’s about freaking time) Big Blue will finally get a Symbian on the E71x which may just be a smash hit, may be a flop. The iPhone is a great phone and gives users the best experience and customization (well, jailbroken at least) and in the end makes its way to the top of the Cellular pile.

Great job Apple for finally listening, and as always, great job Boy Genius for keeping us informed. If it weren’t for you, crackberry, engadget, and the multitude of others in this community, I’d have to wait for our corporate emails to find anything out (yeah, those emails that come out about 2 weeks after you post something :P )

Thank you PSU Guy… very well said. And I am a crackberry fan, I mean I love my wifes curve, but apple is apple and the IPHONE will be on top, ALWAYS. I understand giving us stuff that other phones had for the longest (and in small amounts on each update) is a way to keep the hype up and people buying it, but I dont care, I loved it the day I took it from the box and I still love it more right now, especially with 3.0 coming soon!!!!

You guys are crazy, just the fact that you cannot sync contacts and calendars with an exchange server on a blackberry without investing another 3,000 dollars on BES is retarded. Rim is the most retarded corrupt company in the world. Most people use exchange, hello even Microsoft got this right in their mobile OS and Apple knows because they licensed active-sync from Microsoft (very smart to get corp environments), Rimm might want to pay attention!!!!

Apple still rules in all fronts and some people are just mad that their companies stick them with these piece of crap phones that barely work and therefore cannot get an iphone, corporate America wake up and understand how much money Apple will save you in support issues. I have been an IT consultant for years now and all the clients I have switched to Apple and Iphones had a significant upfront cost but in the long run saves them thousands in support calls over the years.
