BlackBerry Gemini 8325 live picture

Sorry it’s not the greatest picture in the world, but at least we can put a face to the specs and info. We dropped word of the BlackBerry Gemini a while back, and it looks to be cross between an 8300 and an 8900. Ugh, the madness never stops. Then again, did you really expect something different for an “updated BlackBerry Curve?” Here’s the information we published earlier:
- OS 5.0
- 320×240 resolution screen
- QWERTY (really?)
- Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
- Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n (again, not too sure on the n part)
- 2.0 megapixel camera
Again, really not too much here, just a pretty face. Yes, it’s pretty. And hey, there’s one thing we know… it’s not Photoshopped. Not laughing? Oh whatever.

So, can we get a more informative drop as to what makes Gemini an advantageous buy over lets say the javelin or storm?
i thought the gemini was the 9300 which was supposed to bring enhancements, otherwise this bb looks better suited for developing countries aince the specs arent Almost any different than the current curve
Just my 0.02$
That’s a rough looking picture, quite honestly looks like someone crazy-glued up some plastic parts and spray painted them silver-ish white.
This design just doesn’t make sense.
That’s hideous…
@L4M3
Yeah, there still is a 9300 (3G Curve 8900 basically as we’re told). I do agree with you about the positioning of this handset — I’d wager it would attached to those “BlackBerry in a Box” pre-paid deals and believe it would do quite well.
Forgot to mention, looks like everyone is jumping on the photoshop bandwagon lately…
the trackball looks way too weird
Is that a front facing camera up there?
@elusive yea, it sorta does look like one if those little video-calling cameras, doesn’t it?
This is beyond Mr. Blurrycam, this is like Mr.Blurrycam took a picture of the picture he taken earlier.
Anyways, I was expecting more from the gemeni. Its sorta nice looking but I don’t see the big thing about it.
BGR we all know you have more scoops then Crackberry. Not even a question. Why keep taking shots? Try to have a tiny bit of class.
Yeah, seriously, BG. I read and enjoy both sites, but the way you keep taking shots at crackberry makes you look like you have a 1″ dick.
looks more of the same to the previously released ones.
any other pics out there BGR?
all looks, no substance. for shame!
Agree with JayJay.
it’s snobby and immature.
JayJay
Listen to the latest CB podcast, Kevin and Craig tell all there is to know about the future of BB…
BGR doesn’t know krap. They report things like a cameraless 8900, the 8925.
Not to mention half of the CB mod team has personal connections with RIM.
BTW, this thing looks fugly according to this picture.
i cant waait for this baby to be released my thumbs are itching now!!!! lol
it’s not going to be 320X240, that’s the same res as the old curve and 8800.
Ugh!! more of the same from RIM… Is it a law in Waterloo that every BB that is churned out has to be the same form factor with a slight aesthetic variation here and there for good measure?
BB’s are great devices (I own a Bold) but these designs are starting to get old…. really quick! Is there any reason to upgrade since every device here on in is going to look like a Bold?!
Guess that’s a good thing from one perspective, oh well!
What did you take that photo with, BG? an iPhone?
I still don’t get the point of launching OS 5.0 on a revamped curve. Judging by the video Crackberry has of the 9630, OS4.7.1 is still far from ready.
If 5.0 is nearly ready for launch, surely they’d rather put it on a flagship device like the 9630, than another sucky 4.7.x iteration?
Will people stop using their iPhones to snap pics of leaked devices? Its nasty.
Bg glued some old parts together and called it Macaroni. Just waiting for the feather in his cap???
Bg you post this crap after you get scooped on the 9630. And you still have not bloged on the video release of the 9630. Just hoping it all goes away huh???
You’ll gettem next time big boy…
Looks gross haha.
Not every new bb device needs to be an earth shattering new development. Why wouldn’t they update the curve, which is no doubt one of the best selling devices they’ve ever had.
this curve has a larger screen than the original and the 8900 but other than that there isn’t any large differences. I’m still going for the 8900.
