Sprint’s Q1-Q3 2009 device roadmap leaks
When it rains, it pours — and if this newly leaked deck turns out to be the real deal, it’s definitely pouring over at Sprint right now. Phone News claims to have gotten its hands on a roadmap revealing the entirety of Sprint’s upcoming line up for the first three quarters of 2009 and, well, things are looking pretty good. We have no reason to doubt the authenticity of the slides for the time being so we’ll let the deck do the talking. Highlights include affirmation of a Q2 Palm Pre release (shown above with model number P100), the BlackBerry Niagra dropping towards the end of Q3 and a handful of Samsung and HTC handsets that should keep the Windows Mobile crowd happy. Hit the jump for the complete collection of slides.
Thanks, Rusty!

That is probably for a linux based pre. it has all three listed
Here’s to betting that Sprint doesn’t make it to Q3 2009. By then they’ll either cease to exist or be the property of Verizon.
wow at&t for life gsm is the future
@joe
That is just a section on the slideshow, it is directly over the Q2′09, you can seen if there were Android/Google devices listed they would be listed in either, Q1′09, Q2′09, Q3′09 or Q4′09, depending on which Quarter they were to be launched.
Sprint Will Never Go Away…or Become Verizon…Just….Simmer Down Now.BTW Cant Wait For The PRE…Best New Phone Of The Year .Thats Right I Said IT…..Bitches
To Josh: Stupid post. Now, go back to your Verizon CSR job.
this mean the HTC Rhodium would be first in tmobile? i guess the rhodium is expeted on may on tmobile
Nice line up for Sprint! Good for Sprint. Palm Palm Pre
Blackberry Niagra
Samsung Dash-HT
All look great!!!!!!
Sprint just might get a new subscriber!!
I’m really not interested in any more crappy HTC fat, unreliable, crappy BT, crappy battery life phones. I’d gladly pay twice as much for a Toshiba TG01 than the HTC Rodent.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePEPO751b1M I’m sure they could make a model that works just fine on US CDMA carriers.
I doubt Verizon will be getting the Niagra before Sprint, Verizon is always late/last to the gangbang. Verizon is just now getting around to releasing the 1st HTC Diamond. In my opinion, I believe Sprint will get the Niagra before Verizon. If you go to Sprints website, the Curve (8330) is no longer there, which is a pretty good indication it’s replacement is around the corner.
Dude, use Snagit so we can actually read those slides.
WTF is the Palm Monk? I’m going to guess that it’s a WinMo device since there’s no more Palm OS and it wouldn’t make sense to have a second webOS device out so quickly.
@Joe, again. Re: Monk
The picture is an example only, I know it’s hard to see, look for orange letters in the middle of the picture.
Count me in as another one not happy about the missing Diamond2 slide. I was really hoping on upgrading my Touch to that phone…
What the hell!? They just took the Curve off of Sprint’s website and now they are making us wait 6 more months for a replacement? that sucks
Where is the new iphone?
Word has it that the current Curve stock is being updated to 4.5 and will be back shortly. Do you REALLY need a new Curve, now? If so, hit eBay where they are just a couple of hundred.
Wait until you see what Verizon has in store for this year. Lots of awesome phones. And we will recieve the Niagra before Sprint. Lots of new Motos, LGs, Samsungs, PTT phones, HTC, and a phone unlike any other. Just wait.
speculating? or for real. if its for real and u know whats cooking @ VZW then start talking and do what the desperate sprint guy did over there!!! this is BIG!!! I MEAN, REALY BIG!! all the attention will go to sprint now and the others will have to somehow have to start spilling their beans pretty soon to catch up!! i have in mind the SAMSUNG LUCELLO it was only availeble @ pantech, holio, and other unheard of mfr. but samsung, that means its mainstream now. ppl will start peppering their reps with questions about the DASH, MINI, and on the HTC side of things its the willow, etc. this is POURING, LIKE OUR BOY CALLED IT.
WTF is a “green device”? It uses recycled radio waves? Solar powered keyboard light?
In the Words of Flava Flav…
“Yeeeeeaahhhh Boooooiiii!”
Niagara…Rhodium…Niagara…Rhodium..Niagara What do i choose?!
Ill hold out till August when my contract is up to decide which one..So
So, Palm Pre is not going to have Java J2EE support just as their predecessors Palm OS’s Centro and Treo!! That sucks..
Someone touched on it above, but rumor is that Sprint pulled the 8330’s in stock to replace it with 4.5’s
Also no spec sheet for the Niagara?
What a pain! I’m a year past the end of my Verizon contract. I waited and waited for the Storm, which turned out to be a big disappointment. So, trying to be loyal and true to Verizon, I put off my new purchase waiting for the new CDMA Curve (Niagra). I really want to stay with Verizon but ATT has had the Bold for some time now and T-Mobile has the 8900, one of the sexiest handsets out there. It just lacks 3G speed. Verizon might might not get the Niagra until months AFTER Sprint. Who really knows? Doesn’t Verizon understand that there are thousands, just like me, that are quickly running out of patience? Verizon really has us by the balls, as they still have the best service and coverage area. Why wouldn’t they want to be the best when it comes to new equipment? I don’t buy the ongoing arguement that CDMA takes longer and they are just being more careful. This is getting so old it stinks.
I know that the picture says ‘example only’ but could Samsung and Sprint be using TouchWiz on the new Instinct instead of the proprietary UI?
Umm NO. Q3 is only 4 months away not 6.
