Lenovo reveals images of new Pocket Yoga UMPC

Following a couple of blurrycam shots that surfaces last week, Lenovo has apparently decided to cut subsequent leaks off at the pass and issue official shots of its upcoming ultra-portable laptop, the Pocket Yoga. The design is most definitely unique and interesting, though usability may be sacrificed a bit by the incredibly short and wide display. Full specs are still a mystery but there is plenty to be gleaned from the images and descriptions posted by Lenovo. First and foremost, the display is indeed a stylus-operated touchscreen that can rotate around to the back of the device to be used as a tablet. Another fine example is the odd looking belt clip that can be removed from the outer case to be used as a wireless mouse. While we definitely wouldn’t recommend wearing this thing on your belt — please, for the love of God, don’t — the concept of a removable wireless mouse worked into the case itself is pretty intriguing. Hit the jump for a few more images and let us know what you think.

    Price and power thank you.

Pretty innovative idea. Does look exactly like a vaio p though aside from the folding touchscreen bit.

But it all comes down to price and power.

The concept is cool, but I wish they’d get rid of the ugly leather and keep making vegan laptops as usual. It must be optional…

I really, really like this design. This could be an ideal machine for taking notes, depending on how the software (whatever it is) runs.

While it may just be a concept, I wouldn’t mind seeing Lenovo (or someone else) make something similar- it looks even thinner than the VAIO P.

This looks really sleek and sexy. Looks like Sony may very well have some competition. Makes a nice big bulge in your ass pocket too, while not exactly the definition of “pocketable” at least it’s “ass pocketable” haha. Nice lappy :D

It looks great. That size of screen is actually adequate if you only browse the internet, type emails, and maybe type documents.
Hopefully it will still be able to run other programs too (presentation, spreadsheet, etc.) since once in a while you need to do those things at the airport.

That’s one sweet looking machine, and I’ll bet that the unusual shape is so they could give it a 75-90% size keyboard which is what Lenovo (IBM) is recognized around the world for (Great Keyboards).

Most likely it will be marketed to executives who want something more than thumbing on the old smart phone but detest carrying a laptop.

If spec’d out correctly, I’ll bet that it will sell very well.
