LG Rumor 2 and Motorola Stature i9 now available from Sprint
Sunday is a banner day for Sprint which added not only the Treo Pro, but also the LG Rumor 2 and the Motorola Stature i9 to its handset lineup. The QWERTY-slider LG Rumor 2 is available both online and in stores for a rock bottom price of $49.99 after an instant savings of $150 and a $50 mail-in rebate. The Rumor 2, as you surely know by now, sports a QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera, GPS, stereo Bluetooth, microSDHC support (up to 16GB) and a 2.5mm headphone jack. Next up is the Nextel Direct Connect-compatible Stature i9, available for $199.99 after an instant savings of $150 and a $50 mail-in rebate. The Stature has already made its debut on Boost Mobile and offers a 3.1 megapixel camera with flash and auto focus, integrated music player, GPS, Bluetooth and rock solid PTT functionality. Two year contracts apply to the pricing on both handsets of course. Happy shopping!

And why is everyone so down on sprint all the time?
They had their troubles, as do all companies.
The stature and the pro that just came out are pretty good phones.
@ don ive been there i will say it over and over. sprint has terrible retail management. Either there leftover managers from the Gary Forsee ‘activations’ era, or they are new head-up your a$$ managers who cant understand the direction the company is trying to go in and still recruiting and cultivating the biggest collection of sales sharks ever. Ive witnessed this internally, someone who came to the city of Philadelphia from Pittsburgh to be an ASM under a ‘hot-shot’ manager in the area. That same ASM becomes a RSM through a shady dealing by the District Manager, a promotion that HR would have surely shot down had anybody found out about it in time. this guy comes into my store and ruins our atmosphere we were the #1 b store in the district and he ruined that, he brought in an idiot construction workers as a sales rep, and praises him when he harasses customers for data cards and sales. he says we all should be more like him, ya and you know what since he has been here our C-SAT payout has been barely passing solely because of him but the manager gives him a free pass. this is what is happening in all of PHILADELPHIA

why is the rumor2 lame.. that phone will sell more than the first one which lil kids every where had.. if you guys think sprint or any other company is doing bad, see how many months they would last by only selling phones tech bloggers like.. if sprint only sold phones like the pre there would be no sprint to sell the pre on.. same goes for any carrier and any smartphone

The i9 is nice, but a phone like that should have been on CDMA with QChat instead of iDEN.
As for LG, I hate LG with a passion, I think Sprint only has these phones to ensure Verizon stays one step behind with LG phones (since VZW loves LG).
Who picks the name for these phones? Rumor – Tumor. Stature – Immature. Why not name it “The Best1′ and be done with it?
Rumor 2 Will sell cuz of all the Teens that Have the original Rumor. They wouldnt bother making a new one if the first one never sold. Plus the Rumor 2 Is actually Cheaper(Retail) than the old.
The i9 is nice but i have a feeling it will sell more on Boost even at the full $299 than sumone be willing to have it under a contract.
I dont get why people go into Sprint Related threads and Bitch either especially when they dont have the Service….But hey if thats the only way they get their point across

The Rant certainly beats the rumor and in my opinion the rumor 2. I see alot of kids around my high school with the rant now, adn my little brother has one. I just laugh at them with my blackberry, which I got for free through my friend who’s a manager for sprint.
