BlackBerry BIS outage affecting regions across North America
Here we go again, people — you know the drill. Tips are flooding our inboxes from users across the US and Canada reporting some major BIS issues. Namely, it’s not working. We’ve heard from several Rogers users up in Canada as well as tons of AT&T and Verizon customers here in the US. Claims range from intermittent service interruptions to full-on “all is lost, my ‘Berry is dead” reports. Roll call… Is your ‘Berry alive?

Rogers Toronto BIS down for 2.5 hours this morning.
firecracker + blackberry doesnt mix well.
BB curve 8320 T-MO. Pekin Ill. No problems all day.
BES and AT&T BIS in NYC seemed to be fine, didnt see any major delays beyond a few mins.
BlackBerry Bold- AT&T Waterloo, Iowa all good.
T-mobile, Southwest US
6 total users in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, El Paso, and somewhere on the road between El Paso and Albuquerque, all report normal BIS operation.
In fact the “outage” was the upgrade to bis 2.6
No, it is not upgraded.

AT&T all over L.A.: BIS working like it always does. We should do a poll as to how “widespread (NOT!)” this supposed huge BIS outage really is.
After 3 hours of support on the phone and in person, *STILL* unable to connect to network. All is NOT fine.

Do yourselves a favor. Get your Blackberry service from Sprint. P.S. their Blackbery Curve has a push-to-talk button on it…I read at least three Sprint posters to this blog say that they had no issues at all. TSk,Tsk other carriers!!!UGH

Email & browser working this morning, no noticable delays on facebook etc. Not sure on email, but for the past week or so I’ve noticed about a 30-45 min delay in emails coming through which is annoying.

i have been having issues with both voice and data since the end of February. No service in places where I previously had the best signals.
Switches to UMA/wifi whenever possible.

DC + AT&T = Nada.
Telus BIS not receiving anything from GMail, flakey performance from blackberry.net email. Been most of the day now.
NY Verizon. Nada — no emails through gmail. no updates with other apps. called and found out there was outage.. up to 24hrs apparently? not happy.
