Virgin Mobile puts two new Kyocera handsets up for sale
While there has yet to be a formal announcement of any new handsets, some eagle-eyed observers noticed two new handsets from Kyocera for sale on Virgin Mobile’s website. Being Virgin Mobile phones, they’re not much to write home about but given the current economic climate we’re in, it’s a given that these phones will garner more interest than they would during prosperous times. Starting off with what is nothing more than a Virgin-branded S1300 Melo, the JAX is a plain Jane candybar that features… a color screen. Moving on to the more promising of the two, the X-tc sports a full-QWERTY slider, QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and comes pre-loaded with a Facebook and MySpace application. Not bad at all for a $100 phone.

These phones are horrible in NYC . I live in manhattan and for some reason I couldn’t even get my phone set up , and mind you I even took it back twice; and my brother and sister never had service and the phones wouldn’t even last for more than a month .
Virgin Mobile is absolutely horrid as far as reliability goes .
CUTE QWERTY, but they should definitely dedicate more, if not all, effort to Helio devices.

Watch out for Virgin Mobile, they are probably going bankrucpt, I went to our local kiosk at our mall in DC and they have been out of Ocean 2 for weeks now. Actually they told us that they never even received them and Helio keeps delaying week after week. I will go with a legit company that actually has devices that I can take a look at like Boost Mobile.
