Verizon’s Nokia Intrigue dispels the notion that clam shell = ugly
In a world where it’s all BlackBerry this, Apple that, GPS this, and “where the hell is the Wi-Fi” that, it’s nice to see some companies are still interested in making great little phones for the masses. One such phone is the Nokia Intrigue 7205, an EV-DO Rev. 0 clam shell that is coming soon to Verizon. It might not have all of the fancy bells and whistles most of the phones featured on this website do but a 2 megapixel camera, microSD slot, Stereo Bluetooth, QVGA internal display external landscape display with what appear to be touch-sensitive media buttons will do most people just fine. Plus it comes in two finishes; a black to gray fade for little Jimmy and a black to pink fade for little Dani and those who aren’t intimidated by gender stereotyping. All in all we have to say that no matter which finish you chose, the Intrigue is easily the sexiest clam shell feature phone since the Motorola Vader. And that’s saying something! Hit the jump for another marketing shot.

To me, Nokia designs usually are awful [except for 5800 XpressMusic and the new touch-qwerty slider] but the features of these phones are quite good.
You mispelled “re-inforces” as “dispels”.
When will big red get a series 60 device with wifi ! Lol
If I wasn’t a guy I wouldn’t want the one with the pink fade

It’s nice to see some good looking dumb phones coming out with Verizon.
I wonder if it comes with a mandatory data plan? (j/k)
No, it’s still ugly with the stupid Verizon name and logo plastered over every possible bare spot.
The phone specs are nice as well as the phone itself (minus the terrible black to pink fade transition) but the question that I have is does it have a regular headphone jack?
Nice and sweet i like that device thanks BGR well for those who don’t know I’m also a Nokia fanboy. Just a lil public announcement!!!!!! Lol

It’s not really a Nokia if it has VZW GUI…not sure what the point of having Nokia’s on VZW would be if it’s gonna be like that….other than having a “name”.
- zephxiii – WORD!
that’s why i got rid of my last vz nokia 3 years ago…they (in usual vz fashion) crippled it by putting the standard vz interface…i bought a nokia for the NOKIA interface…not VZ!!!

you said “it’s still ugly with the stupid Verizon name and logo plastered over every possible bare spot.”
Are you looking at a different picture? I see the Verizon Wireless logo in 2 places. Under the screen and on the battery cover.
anyone else notice how the black-grey has a + d-pad, and the black-pink has.. well.. a flower d-pad? purely cosmetic, but still silly.
I actually like that outer casing. I needed a new phone, and ended up getting a Blackberry 8700, I went back in time, I missed my side scroll.
Eh, this’ll get the job done for simplicity lovers. Nuff said…
Guys: Just because you may be used to Nokia’s UI doesn’t mean it’s all that. I think the newer VZW UI’s look better than they used to on the old RAZR’s of long ago.
Other than being able to adjust the font, the Nokia UI is good but not great.
I’m not a VZW customer, but I think this phone looks really sweet for a clam compared to what’s out there.
It actually looks nice! very sleek and thin
if I didn’t text so much I would consider it
Its great to see nokia on Verizon that’s all I got to say
