A3700 EV-DO / HSPA / GSM hybrib modem for Verizon passes through FCC

It’s a bit too early for pricing details but you’re just going to expense it anyway so it doesn’t really matter. As for a formal announcement, perhaps we’ll see this little guy debut at CTIA early next month.

Ive been hearing at work that this will have WiFi in it. (I work for Verizon)
That’s why its so big.
But, don’t hold me to that.
What would be the point of Wi-Fi in this thing? (most laptops already have it…)

Looks to me like Verizon taking another step forward to becoming the goliath we all hope and dream of. Between hybrid data cards and recent announcements of aggressive 4g development things look like they’ll be moving fast soon.
Also curious if this bastard child of GSM and Evdo is Rev. A capable or just optimized.
