What are the jacks for? I knew that ptt rumor was mularkey but did the rep give any clue about the Android Instinct

I tried to tip you off on this last month, it’s the Samsung M810, I had a horrible picture. Yes slated for April release, watered down version of the Instinct. Less included in the box. No extra battery or spare battery charger, no case, smaller memory card possibly. It’s looking to be dropped well under the 100 dollar mark. Very sexy design, much better than the Instinct, however not really much different in size. Only difference we noticed when we stole it from our Samsung rep was that it is much lighter than the Instinct, and for some reason it has 2 external antenna jacks under the battery cover.

How do you think Karl Rove spent his professional years learning to manipulate personal data?

The 2 should not be confused and is a completely separate issue from trusting carrier servers from properly protecting -your- proprietary information about -your- contacts, customers, their history with your company, vendors, cost sheets, pricing, competitors, etc. No conspiracy-theory. Simple tangible facts.

If that is the case you shouldnt be using a modern phone, They log your calls location and everything else! They have your personal info and credit! Contacts and Address is the least of worries.

@gdog: Why would anyone want to sync their personal data with carrier servers which are unaccountable? Talk about Russian Roulette with 6 rounds! Local sync is the only other possibility that might measure up.

Didn’t the last round of updates for the original Instinct add sync capabilities? Mobile Sync is accessible from Sprint.com to give it some leeway

People who spend $ on these types of phones, usually dont want to have 2 sets of data. One at work or home and one on phone. that is just old school! Keep everything in Sync. That is why Palm,Rim, Apple, Andriod are trending that way or are currently there.

It has to be consumer friendly and Simple! Sync contacts,address, music, and my photos. Thats the trend!

Input methods have to work either with soft keyboards or hardware keyboards!

The Instinct and qchat phones were the 1st to have Mobile Sync while that’s not the same as pc sync it is a back up

This phone needs:
Cal Sync with PC and Apple!
Needs Contacts Sync with PC and Apple
Needs Vertical Keyboard of some kind
Better Music player

Its all about the OS! MAke the changes and this could be a good phone.

I can’t believe that people are this fanboyish over cellphone carriers….I thought PS3/X360/Wii fanboys were bad….jeez…to each his/her own I guess…but each carrier has their advantages…I choose sprint because I’m not interested in paying $2000 a year for a frikkin cellphone. As it relates to this phone…I think it will do well…atleast here in NYC. I would say about 1 out of every 3 people I no with sprint had one of these at one point in time. Not everybody likes to have a smartphone…some people like my mom and sister…just wants a phone to do da basic talk, text, take pictures and share them. This phone will do well for sprint just like the last.

Every phone does not have to be an iPhone. I went back home to Jamaica with one last year and was the laughing stock because they like smaller phones…called my frikkin phone a “refrigerator” because of the size…down there they’d rather have a SLDR…don’t knock people just because you prefer one phone or carrier over da other…after all, none of us stand anything to gain off of da success of any of these carriers….except for continued service and competition.

This phone is nice. Definitely has a mix of sophistication/everyday look to it. Though the screen looks like it’ll be way messy with finger prints and kinda looks entry level-ish. Eh, good job with this one Sprint; very consumer friendly looking device. ^_^

I liked my Instinct but it just wasn’t functional enough for me and had too many bugs, the mini looks better, sure would’ve been nice if the ptt rumor was true

It’s Rev0. Comes in two colors, bronze and gray. It’s named the Instinct s30.

I played around with one recently, and it’s definitely a step up from the original Instinct. The touchscreen is much more responsive, but there’s not really a home screen, just a shortcut bar thing. It’s kind of strange, and was frustrating for me.

The “Mini” part is a misnomer, though. It may be a tiny bit smaller, but it’s right around the same size as the original.

This one will definitely do better than the original.

looks a bit THINNER than the original…definitely sleeker….but still same crappy OS…and probably same crappy resistive touch screen
