Verizon Wireless LG Versa info galore
We already knew the bulk of the specs for the LG Versa and that Verizon is all set to release it on March 1st, but until now we were at a loss as to what Verizon would be charging for the Versa. Well we can now safely say that after a $50 rebate the Versa will set users back a husky $199.99 (or $449.99 at full retail) on a 2-year contract. Sadly the one-time costs don’t end there if you’re planning for some serious game-time with your Versa. A game controller module will be released in limited quantities for $29.99, though this is likely to be of small concern to most. We’ve been very critical of the concept of this phone in the past but we are now convinced that we were right for being suspicious of it — makers of all things bedizened Dooney & Bourke and all things aspiring Liz Claiborne have signed on the dotted line as official suppliers of “carrying solutions”. *Shudder* So have you got March 1st circled on your calendar or are you planning to sleep in? I see a lot of similarities between the LG Versa and an iPhone, but I must say I love the idea behind a detachable QWERTY keyboard. My current Verizon Wireless phone has a QWERTY keyboard which I have grown to love so it’s something I would look for in another phone. Ironically, the phone I have is also an LG phone so it might be time for a trade-in.

The phone has a few advantages over the dare even with many similarities. The pixel of a camera has nothing to do with the quality of the picture. Try learning Photography 101 course.
It’s a smart move for VZW. If no one understands that U.S. cell phone companies are in the business of making money, honestly, what are you posting about other than an opinion?
I’ve played with the phone and found it to be more refined when operating the basics of the phone. ie. calling, messaging and so on.
wow all you are stupid the game piece isnt even real… and the phone is much better then the dare on top of it berizon has the BEST phones with some exceptions… alltel phones= terrible at&t= ok tmobile= terrible all in all the phone is good and all you people dont have ne knowledge of phones…
Personally I love Verizon phones. I have a blackberry and it works great and I’ve always been a blackberry and lg fan. My previous phones from VZW have been lg’s and I havnt had a problem with them at all so I am looking foward to purchasing the new versa..
This was the exact dilemma I was faced with. Versa or Voyager. Trust me, the detachable keyboard will grow on you. I was skeptical at first, however for a frequent texter, I always have my keyboard attached. Hopefully though, in the future, a keyboard will be made with buttons on the front, a less ugly appearance, and a better front screen. With that being said, it is still a great piece of hardware.

ok i know everyone on this post will yell and scream… But i bought this phone…. I gotta say one thing. Its better than the samsung glyde! hahahan i am actually quite pleased with the device. the touchscreen actually works!!! **cough**cough** dare… yeah i like how it goes there and tries something nobody has seen, it may be thick with the keyboard, but just take it off and its thinner than the dare.,,, wow
I have this phone and I really like it, good web browsing, nice keyboard, good reception, an accelerometer for gaming. I like it and am happy I bought it.
I’m with Q on this one. I bought the phone and it is amazing. All of the features are great. My 2 year contract has been up since September and my phone broke in November, but I had an old phone activated because I didn’t want to get a phone that was only a touch screen. Everyone keeps saying that the phone looks cheap, but when you actually use it it feels more solid than any other phone I’ve owned. I think the built on leather cover with the keypad is a great idea. It protects the phone but without all the bulk of a regular case. And I am not a 7th grader, my boss actually just bought a blackberry touchscreen and has already told me that he wishes he would have gotten the Versa.
The only things I don’t like about the phone are that it only comes in one color, a very dark brown. Also, I don’t think the color scheme can be changed. If it can, I haven’t found it yet.

i might get it too! its like a mix of hte voyager…my old phone. it broke :[ and the dare the phone i have right now which is my bros old one. the dare isn’t the best kind of phone…but in the fall i think i will get the versa im not totally sure though.

I have this phone and I think it is one of the best phones i ever had. It’s not a dare it’s better.
I should be getting my versa in tomorrow, I played with it in the store a couple times and even used one of the employees versa. yes it is a lil bulky with the qwerty keyboard attached, but what I liek about it is that when you close it it actually protects the touchscreen somewhat. When I get mine tomorrow and actually have it for a few days I will let you all know how I feel about it. Lg has good phones my last was the env and it actually went through the washing machine once and lived, what killed it is when I dropped it off the fixture at work and it cracked the inside screen

I bought this phone recently and I believe it was worth it. Easy to use and pretty slim. EXCEPT the keyboard was a rip off, so I returned that and got FIFTY DOLLARS back that I could spend on something better. The phone is perfectly fine without it. I’ve had no problem with it. If you don’t need or care for the Microsoft Office apps, choose this over the LG Dare.
I just got this…the attachable qwerty keyboard is ok, the phone overall is awesome compared to the Dare. And the game thing really exists xD
