Dell Inspiron Mini 9 and 12 hitting AT&T stores soon?

We told y’all Verizon wasn’t the only carrier looking to bring us some Netbook love. AT&T has been rumored to be exploring potential options in regards to carrying Netbooks in stores, but have a look at what one of our ninjas dug up. Yes, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. You’re looking at screen shots of AT&T’s internal system showing Dell Inspiron Mini 9’s and 12’s. There is currently no release date nor price point listed, but we’d wager they are going to go for $99 on a 2-year with data card plan just like Verizon. AT&T may even end up beating Verizon here in terms of a launch timeframe. Larger shots after the break!

Wow, totally not buying a netbook now going to wait for this!!
Ok, I’ll buy one for $99!
Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).
Am I reading this correctly? A $400 netbook for $99 that has a Verizon internal data card. Nice…
wow that seem offly cheap
I applaud at the fact that the carriers are treating these netbooks as any regular phones by slashing prices as long as you sign up for a data plan.
I just checked our inv and there is no such product sku. I don’t think this is real.
this is exciting news
I personally would wait until LTE rolls out for Verizon before I get a built in BBA
however I have been using the hP Verizon one…and man it is FUN…and fast.
Wow thanks AT&T for giving us another product to sell and lose money on with high equipment costs.
It is. It was announced in a recent meeting. We heard it would be the acer, but AT&T does have a relationship with Dell already, so it makes sense.
Could this have been what Ralph DeLaVega was referring to in his slip of the tongue the other day?
@ ATTguy
how exactly are you losing money? This is a netbook, not a $1000+ laptop. I’d Imagine the cost of the product at around $350. Throw in the subsidy of about $150. Puts the ‘book at $199. $99 after MIR. at $60 per month the att kickback for gaining an activation is still going to net you (your store) at least $130 or more. That’s profit. Money in the Bank. Padding the coffers. However you want to put it, it’s a win-win situation.
Problem is the Dell netbooks were on sale the other day for $199, and they are $245 at samsclub. So where is the deal?
