Google adds mobile editing capabilities to spreadsheets
Our initial thoughts back when Google first introduced Google Docs for mobiles was, “cool, but where’s the edit button?” It stood to reason that Google would eventually add editing capabilities to its mobile offering and while it took a bit longer than many had hoped, Google is finally showing signs of life. As of this morning, G1, iPhone / iPod Touch and S60 users now have the ability to edit Google spreadsheets with nothing more than their OEM mobile browser of choice. A host of functionality is available including the ability to view, edit, sort and filter data, as well as the ability to actually input data. In other words, Google spreadsheets for mobile is actually useful now! All we have to do now is keep our fingers crossed that documents are next in line.
wow, combine all the hatred google has for RIM, and this is just yet another kick in the shins to the canadian boys…

great news, i’ll be using docs more from now on.
and I think RIM’s OS / Browser hurts them in this case.
That’s a nice feature. But just thinking of editing spreadsheets on a small screen gives me a headache. Hell, it gives me a headache doing it on a full size monitor at work…

This is great and another reason the BB shitty browser hurts them. Soon OuickOffice and DataViz will be bringing full office document editing to iPhone and Andriod and BB will have NO advantage in this area at all.
BB owners love to tout office document editing as a plus to owning a BB, but rarely point out that DataZiz is what is being used!
