Comments on: Skyfire updated to 0.9; even more PC-like web goodness

I’ve been running Skyfire on my tilt for nearly 9 months and its the hands down winner for the total web experience. the only thing I would like to see is a download manager like Opera 9.5b2. any chance of that?

My problem with skyfire 0.9 they added a time out. SO when your watching or listening for 10 min you get timed out and it goes to home page or your phone get’s frozen and you have too exit Skyfire
This is one annoying add on to lose your contents after 10min

it is the best browser i’ve ever seen,but its only work on series 60 3rd edition?!
Can you develop for 2nd edition?

With all the inquiries for a Blackberry version, I would hope that the next version will be supporting Blackberry. Obviously Blackberry would be a serious market for Skyfire.

We can just hope, and wait. But from what I’ve heard a LOT of places, it seems that it is next on the roadmap. So lets hope.

hi, i’m new using samsung omnia I910 from verizon I have downloaded skyfire and works prety good, but have some issues first of all is when a try to download a large video file this take longer than suposto and does’nt download the video for example a movie its go to 13% and stop then show a message internet conectiuon problem check you conection and try again this problem come from this web: http://www.watch-movies-links.net

i downloaded the previous version just the other day, and discovered i could watch BBC IPlayer on it (im in the uk) which i thought was really cool as i cant do that on the inbuilt browser or opera mini. today i heard 0.9 beta was available so i downloaded that, and found that now i can no longer watch IPlayer on the bbc website, they are saying iplayer content is only available to the UK… the funny thing is i tried connecting to Hulu and i cant watch stuff on that cos it says Hulu content is only available in the US, i wonder where their proxy server is located…

i think i might go back to the previous version if i can find it, so i can watch iplayer again.

I had the WinMo Skyfire on my T-Mobile Wing and loved it; no issues sans the slow browsing speeds via EDGE. Tried the Symbian version on my N95 and issue after issue from the browser not closing when I try to close it to the browser closing and power cycling my phone along with it. I hope 0.90 fixes these issues.

Tried to download this morning right when BGR posted the first time and got 0.85 rather than 0.9; got the 0.9 now though. The adaptive fonts are pretty sweet! Been a Skyfire user for a while, the updates are definitely moving in the right direction.

This poor ol’ guy stays dreaming…however blame the techies on Skyfire’s forums. They feed into my hysteria. When I first initially uploaded on my BJ2 and Tilt I was on their forums alot, and I suppose someone ‘in-the-know’ said BB support is on the horizon, however they have other needs to fill.
