T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8900 now live with pricing – $199.99

Several of you have had the pleasure of receiving your BlackBerry Curve 8900s early, but the rest of us have had to wait patiently and eagerly for this day. The (sorta) smallest and (kinda) thinnest ‘Berry available is now live with pricing details on T-Mobile’s website. As you can clearly see, the phone will cost you a cool $199.99 after mail-in rebate and a two-year contract. With a 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and UMA support, BlackBerry PIM services and the 4.6 OS for the Curve, it is a very worthy upgrade for T-Mobile customers. We’re not sure if Best Buy is carrying them just yet, but if you can’t wait and are willing to spend the extra $50, you know exactly what to do.

From my understanding some of the larger Best Buy’s already have this on sale for $149. Unfortunately my little store doesn’t have it yet. I’ll know more when I get to work today and can do some company wide inventory checks, but for those of you looking to pick this up for $149 today I would advise that you call your local Best Buy first.

Ordered mine last night at 11pm Central. Tried six times in the run up, but never got a CSR willing to do it.

I’m excited to get my new gadget! It’s like trying to pack myself in to a small suitcase–I can hardly contain myself!

i’m due for an upgrade but was just told by a customer service rep, that for existing Tmobile customers it’s only a $70 discount from $499, unless you add an additional line. WOW! that’s very differnt from the attractive $199. could this be true, LOL?anyone know a way around this?

    SadTmobileCustomer,

Maybe you’re not eligible for the full upgrade discount? They should have explained it fully to you. Doesn’t sound right. Call them back and speak to an Account Specialist or the Retention Dept.

Yeah, you only get the full 2 year pricing once every 2 years.

While still in the middle of your service agreement, you get a $70 discount off the MSRP: $499 – $70 which equals $429 + TAX.

At least T-Mobile gives you a little bit off the MSRP. The good thing right now is that if you upgrade online shipping is free and the upgrade fee is waived.

I just ordered mine today. I switched to ATT for the iPhone but aside from the cool pretty screen the dropped calls, garbled calls and back and forth 3G to GSM was annoying.

T-Mobile works well in the areas I need them to so I’m so excited to get this. I should have mine by Friday! Yay!

Hmm… I’ll wait until the price drops to $99.

That way, I can sign up for a 1 year contract for $149.00 dollars! :)

    I don’t do 2 year contracts..NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

It’s true for T-mo customers who aren’t eligible for the full upgrade it’s $429 and I was so excited but to spend that much knowing it’s going to come down in the next few months makes me want to wait. :-(

I just ordered mine over the phone from Tmo…

    $179 + Shipping and Tax = $197

I worked with the retention dept to get my new curve. I was only due my half upgrade but seeing that i was willing to sign for 2yrs they would give me the phone at the full discounted price.

5-7 days shipping but usually gets here before then the rep said…

    sah-weet!

To those who posted about getting the phone from Best Buy, what city are you guys in? I went to a Best Buy Mobile store in the Washington, DC area and they said they don’t sell Tmobile phones. I was kinda surprised.

@sck worker: Is that an in-store promotion? The Sam’s Club site shows $300 “after instant discount” for new TMo customers. They should at least be meeting the pricing at Amazon, Let’s Talk, or TMo itself at the -very- least.
