What’s your name?

Okay, we’ve got to have a little chat here about the BlackBerry 9300 which we referred to as the “Gemini.” Indeed there was some confusion on our part (yes, we made a boo-boo and we mistakenly referred to the BlackBerry 9300 as the “Gemini”. It is not the Gemini. The Gemini is apparently the codename for the BlackBerry 8325, a T-Mobile GSM/EDGE device with OS 5.0, a 320×240 display, 2 megapixel camera, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (they’re going to put 802.11n on a crap device?). It was slated to come out in September of this year but with 8900 Curve about to hit up T-Mobile we’d think it pretty stupid of RIM to release it, especially since it’s got some less than desirable specs. With all of this said, we can assure you that the device we were talking about is indeed real. Thanks to all of our readers for the support, and for everyone else, back to your regularly scheduled bitchfest…

    Its all good man.

Is the 9300 still coming out (just not with the Gemini code-name) or was it just a rumor?

Working for T-Mobile, I to would agree dropping this device would be a huge mistake. Even with the support of N Wireless, Whats the point?

It’s okay. Just peg me down an EXACT official release date for the Palm Pre and I’ll forgive… At least until next year.

Reminds me of the 7100t/7105 change, I understood why that happened 5 years ago but why even bother with an upgrade like this now.

Its not like RIM only releases one new phone model a year.

The first wireless-N phone? lol…I LOVE WiFi N, and have the whole house set up with even an repeater, and it’s awesome!! But on an 83xx Curve? Nah…

I take it will not have 3G either. And 320×240. Lame all around.

So what’s with the “9300″, and this “Magnum”, or are they one and the same?

Somehow I’m doubtful that this 8325 will see the light of day. I mean really, why would they want to debut OS 5.0 on a dated device? I can see the new OS appearing on the New Pearl, or the EvDO Curve 2. But on a Curve one without 3G?

If RIM did that, they’re way stupider than they think. They need OS5.0 to be robust, put it on a major device on Big Blue or Big Red and market the hell out of it!

Is anyone else tired of how RIM releases products?

They always tend to leave off some feature just to announce a new version with that feature two months later, then repeat the cycle again.

I think they are using the Coca-Cola approach to marketing… fill the shelves. coke, new coke, diet coke, coke zero, caffeine free… but it’s still just flavored water.

They should spend some cash and develop one or two models and make them the best they can be…. oh wait they already exist, Bold and 8310… now just invest in making the software the best it can be!

    Breakdown and define “StevenGlansburg”:

Steven = the voice, especially loud or strong

Glans = a small rounded structure; especially that at the end of the penis

burg = colloquial American term for a town

So there we have it! A loudmouth who hails from Dicktown(same place all the fanboys live, I suspect)

Now, please go back to pleasing yourself to your stash of Steve Jobs and Tim Cook photos (Probably stored on your sticky-touch iPhone). We all know that BB is the standard……
