i can’t believe animal crossing made it on both lists! and im so glad on the wii u can play gamecube games! im serious, nobody i know appreciate gamecube games, but those games rock! DS is really great, it’s gone really far.it can play GBA games, and there’s already three versions of it. DS, DS Lite, and DSi. nintendo started off making trading cards, but now they’re the king of video games!

so my take on this Nintendo comeback after talking to my Aunt and Uncle (who are in their late 40’s and early 50’s):

They have a 16 year old son and a 10 year old son, they bought an xbox 360 for the older kid, and a Wii for the younger kid.

The difference is they can play the Wii with their younger kid, they find the Xbox 360 complicated, the games too adult oriented, and lose patience with it.

Nintendo is a genius…they recognized a niche and their philosophy was younger kids and parents can do something fun together. (I am an avid gamer…but i love playing Wii tennis) Simple, easy to use and a lot of fun. who would have thought that would have been a winning formula?

I think it is supposed to be the best selling “console” game of all time because The Sims already won that award. I also guess that maybe the “Sims” is the best selling Computer game of all time.

And people wonder why the Wii keeps selling. Even though their is a shortage of good games, for a new person just getting the Wii, their are plenty if games to choose from. And if you can actually go through all the 3rd party crap, their are a lot of good games of there. I know I have enough games for me to play.

I love my wii. What I don’t love is all the damn accessories.

Wii Fit = Balance Board
Link’s Crossbow Training = Wii Zapper
Animal Crossing = Wii speak
Mario Kart = Wii Wheel (well not really, but I didn’t know that until after I purchased the game)

All those accessories get really expensive. Currently though, I’m addicted to Call of duty. I think it’s so much more fun on the Wii.

nintendo is genius… not being having enough money to compete against two general tech companies for hd video games nintendo created its own next gen category and whipped both of them.. now nintendo has the money and momentum to jump into the hd field when the 360 gets updated.. even tho sony is getting killed the ps3 will probably be good enough to take on the new nintendo and xbox
