I am well over 20 and I am also an IT Professional…I am defintely looking forward to this. I haven’t gotten a Sidekick because I need the Outlook connectivity. WIth that improvement, I am getting on next week.

WOW! i have a sidekick lx, and my brother has an iphone. i always envied his ability to play youtube videos and have turn by turn navigation. well, HAH! i’ll have it too, PLUS a full qwerty keyboard. i still believe you’re always 5 steps ahead sidekick. ALWAYS.

If TMobile’s 3G coverage wasn’t non existent over most of America, I would jump ship from ATT. As it is, I can use basically the same devices and get 3G everywhere I go with ATT. STEP IT UP TMOBILE!!!

Its about time! Seriously, now they can justify asking for $400+ for there things. I have nothing against the Sidekick(I used to have an LX) at all but I just feel more should be expected out of them given their price tag. This is definitely a step in the right direction should this prove true.

Hmmmm – I think there might be some truth to this device. After checking out the (supposed) pictures of the new G2 Google Android Phone, i spotted this device sitting nonchalantly in the background..

The 3G will be a nice addition to a sidekick since you can still get your data related items like AIM in realtime while on a phone call instead of getting them after the call is done so it can reconnect to EDGE or GPRS

I stopped using sidekicks since I bought my pearl when it 1st launched….hey if you lose a G you’ll have 2g left,…danger and t-mobile needs to work out that losing signal for 1hr after a call Shit…. Nokias and blackberries are the way to go.. Anyone 20+ shouldn’t own sidekicks

The sidekick is still the best text/email capable phone on the market. With added 3g support, a better camera, outlook etc, I see this being a big hit. Price range NEEDS to stay below 149.99 though..to compete with the storms/i phones of the world. All in all, hope this is true

Nobody should be surprised that the new Sidekick LX 2009 will have Microsoft Live local search and maps and Microsoft Outlook/Exchange synchronization since Microsoft bought Danger almost a year ago. Here a link to the Microsoft press release in case anyone forgot.

This would be good for tmobile if it’s real. Alot of people that got the g1 were getting it to replace their sidekick. Wifi would have been freakin sweet.

Personally, I don’t like Sidekicks….never have.

But this article is great. I say that because I work for a huge global entertainment firm here in Hollywood and my CEO loves Sidekicks. We usually have him on a BlackBerry but he occassionally likes to be put on the Exchange Server so he can use a WinMO phone.

If I tell him he can use a 3G sidekick with support for Exhange, maybe I’ll get that raise I wanted.

Sounds cool. I know it’s gotten a rep for being used only by teens or young adults, but hey if you put more smarts into it it’ll becomes a much more useful enterprise tool for those who like it.

Can’t really hate on that…

I have to say,this is EPIC news for me !

As a Sidekick LX user I was about to jump ship really soon and go to AT&T to get the BlackBerry Bold but, this new Sidekick looks amazing and the specs as well !

The most exciting thing is really the inclusion of 3G cause that’s one of the reasons I was going to ditch my LX.
