Sprint Treo Pro delayed until February 15th
Bad news for those hoping to score a Sprint Treo Pro this weekend. A memo circulating at Best Buy Mobile suggests that the Sprint Treo Pro has been delayed until February 15th. According to the memo, Best Buy Mobile stores have received shipments of the Treo Pro for a January 25th launch but sales of the handsets has been put on hold. All Treo Pro inventory will be locked up and held until the new launch date of February 15th and no purchases will be allowed until then. No reason was given for the mysterious delay. Those among us who possess great charm and immense power of persuasion can try their hand at scoring one early but we definitely wouldn’t lay any cold hard cash down on your success.
Wonder if it’s for marketing reasons or because there is some issue. Can’t have anything to do with GSMA since that is the following day. Then again I never did understand marketing people.

I work for sprint and it will not be releasing untill the 15th.(For whomever thought Sprint would sell before then) One reason they said was because of training purposes and to make sure all employees are fully trained on it and WinMo software. Which doesn’t make sense since the phone is really nothing different from the 800w. Anyone wanting a Palm I suggest waiting for the Pre. I have a pro already through the advocate program and the phone is nothing to write home about.
According to the information we received the phones cannot even be activated in SNAP if we do sell them.
