Supposed screenshots of the LG VX9600 emerge
Other than a brief appearance on a recent rebate sheet for Verizon Wireless, details on LG’s modular VX9600 have been few and far between. The appearance of a few low-quality screenshots supposedly of the Flash UI in Spanish will certainly not leave you drooling over the device but nevertheless, some information is better than no information and such leaks suggest that this phone may still be on the drawing board for LG and Verizon Wireless. This unusual modular mobile phone will also reportedly ship with with a detachable keyboard included in the box. Other modules, like the rumored game pad, will be sold as optional accessories. Flash based Os could be cool
Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).
@drunknbass: Verizon LG’s (and maybe others) have been using Flash based OSes for a while–since the first Chocolate. They really aren’t that impressive. It’s like HTC putting a skin on top of WinMo. It’s the same OS underneath, it just tarts it up a little. And with the Flash ones, you generally get that infamous VZW menu tree once you make any selection (which I’ve never really had a problem with, to be honest).
Serifed fonts? Seriously?
this is pretty cool. i was thinking of getting the dare, but now I might wait. I was going to get this, but it never arrived. Good news for me!
My girlfriend has the LG Dare and loves it. I was playing with the features and its really a nice phone. I love the size! LG could tweek the looks a little, perhaps more of a business look, so I’m thinking this 9600 may be the real deal. (PS The Blackberry Storm sucks!)
