Sprint ETF settlement leaves $90 up for grabs for customers

Remember all the hoopla about Sprint’s ETF and the lawsuit it was facing because of their policy? Well, as a result of the proposed settlement that is likely to move forward, it looks like anyone who started  and subsequently ended a contract with Sprint between July 1999 and December 2008 is looking at some cash. All you have to do is show proof that you canceled during that time window and paid an ETF, and you’ll be getting $90 for your troubles. Of course, $90 is probably nowhere near what you had to pay to get out of contract and it’s hardly a consolation for all the heartache you had to go through, but it’s better than nothing. In the event you stuck with Sprint during that time period in order to avoid the ETF, you get $35. All you have to do now is deal with the paperwork and process of going through all this stuff and that green will find its way into your pockets.

Just as I thought, no special sauce data plans to be found. I wonder why the Sprint Trollsters couldn’t simply be more honest.

I gladly invite readers to go thru Sprint’s site and get $15/Mo unlimited data on a 800w or Centro, just as you’ve repeatedly lied.

I said dumbphone, you proved me right because you did find the data plan but it didn’t fit the phone. All of the carriers classify Palms as smartphones so the $30 data pack is unescapable unless going to t mo where you can’t get a Palm. You may be able to get a rep to let you get one of the other plans but w/o nav and messaging they’re worthless to me. The Everything plans have it already. I’m all prepared to be called a name and you may even accuse me of changing my stance but you know for the last few weeks you have been saying there is no $15 or $25 data pack for new customers. Now that you see it you want say it’s not for smartphones when I never said it was. I got my info from brochures, Sprint’s site and a live Sprint rep all since Sunday.

You simply haven’t been paying attention, Precious. Do the Google on my posts to find the oft-repeated term ’smartphone’ and you’ll find my contradiction of others who were claiming, **just as you originally did**, that _SMARTPHONES_ could get unlimited data on Sprint @ $15/Mo. Sad, but true. ;) Doing the Google on your posts produced ZERO references for ‘dumbphone’, clueless.

See, here’s the difficult part: Shhhhh … Keep it a secret! :) (All you have to do is choose any internet [WAP]-capable cheap cell phone). LMGDAO @ U!

I said there’s a $15 data plan, never that it was for a smartphone. Some people can negotiate that plan initially but no full rebate, if in any of my post otherwise was commented show me and I’ll eat crow. You said there was no such data plan and called me a liar, you found the plan and now want to turn this into an disagreement over smartphones. Sprint is cheaper, the plans are more inclusive and the devices less restrictive, can you dispute the facts w/o resorting to name and changing the subject.

I’ve already said as much, idiot, where cheezy WAP-capable cells are concerned. I never said otherwise, tool. However, it was your [and others'] contention that Sprint smartphones [WinMo, Palm, Blackberry] could obtain the same $15/Mo unlimited data plan. Google doesn’t lie like you and others do, bitchboy.

Good luck with sustaining that repeated lie, Bunky. :)

The plans are for all, new and old too. I get that you don’t like ads, as you call them, but why put ads for every other carrier in your post?

The same $15/Mo unlimited data plans for smartphones are for new and old customers? Learn to speak the language with specificity, genius.

Just showing that Sprint is nothing unique. That wasn’t rocket-surgery to figure out, was it, bitchboy? :)

Lump me in if you want, bitch-ass, but you know that assertment never came from me or did I agree with it. I did however say new and old customers can finagle thier way into those plans with a willing C.S. rep. Since Google doesn’t lie, show a link where such contradictory statements can be associated to me, good luck. On a side note, are you still sticking to Sprint being overpriced because the evidence you’ve given shows that the big 3 match up evenly with talk and data but Sprint gives more for the same?

What the hell does a 5 month old post have to do with you admiting I never said that about the Centro. I do believe this site is biased and so is bitchbeat but that doesn’t stop me from contributing facts to dispell lies. Don’t get me wrong, I do endorse my carrier to the fullest but never to the point where I lie or insult those not agreeing with me. Backbitch anyone

Where is a lie I told other than the 800 and Centro are discontinued, Sprint’s $15 data pack is only for old customers and the Pre is not a smartphone, that’s right that wasn’t me. I still would like a certain someone to show the overpricing compared to vzw, att, t mo and u.s. cell, you can through in metro pcs and leap too.

I want you prove a lie was posted by me, this isn’t about research either, never said any of the things I’ve been accused of, examples are as follows: Centro and 800 are discontinued, $15 data plan for smartphone and Sprint’s $15 data is only for old customers, none of that came from me.

The resident disliker of Sprint and Palm it looks like was proven wrong and the misinformation was refuted so instead of admitting error an insult is the rebuttal. No savings anywhere nationally that has a comparable network, so that means I told the truth

Sprint & Palm are fine … when shills aren’t always in an intelligent person’s face. You insult every reader with every keystroke.

When the discussion is about smartphones, in general, and interject your cheerleading on behalf of your Savior-carrier, a reasonable person can/will conclude _your_ references to $15/Mo unlimited data, etc, are regarding smartphones. Once you back out of the discussion, due to being called on the misinformation you’re posted, you recoil into this virtual fetal position of calling others liars. Tsk, Tsk.

I’ll let you know when you finally reconcile with the truth, bitchboy.

The misinformation came from you, not me. You assume wrong with my post that because I contributed I championed the $15 data pack was for a smartphone because that was never my assertion, only that they were available to new and old customers. I did say a $25 data pack can be used that doesn’t include messaging in addition to the Pro Pack (same price as the top 2 with messaging and nav, not to mention tv and radio). I work so rebuttals are on my free time. Thanks for the permission, when you’re ready.
