Sony’s touchscreen Walkman gets confirmed
As expected, Sony unveiled its rumored iPod Touch competitor and all we can say is wow! The Sony Walkman NWZ-X1000 will feature a colorful and crisp 3-inch OLED display, Wi-Fi and built-in headphone-independent noise cancellation for those who prefer not to shell out a Benjamin for a pair of noise-canceling headphones. We also can’t overlook that marble painted exterior as it is most definitely unique. The new touchscreen NWZ-X1000 will be available in 16GB and 32GB sizes. Further specifics on the player, pricing and availability will have to wait until Sony’s press conference later this evening. Until then, start drooling and pinching those pennies as Sony may actually have a viable iPod competitor on its hands.

there are thousands of FREE apps that are useful and/or fun. the app store is the clincher for iPhone/iPod touch being the leaders.
Comparing the Touch with the walkman is like comparing a pocket calculator to a nbotebook? O, so by your analogy, the iPod Touch is some sort of super computer? lol. They’re probably gonna come out with apps too. There was a 1 year period where the iPod Touch didn’t have an SDK. People could jailbreak them and put unliscensed software on them, but this would/will void the waranty. If sony isn’t as strict in this reguard, they’ll be ahead of game.
I would have went with more of a copper finish than the stone look. However, I’d have to see it in person. If it looks like linoleum flooring, that won’t do. However, if its a metalic, crystaline finish, which I suspect it is, that might be pretty cool.
I like sony walkman very much , my third walkman is sony which I bought at tradestead , it really works very nice and give me a deep impression, it is really the best walkman that I have ever seen, so , in my eyes sony walkman is the best for ever!
