T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8900 makes its way into stores, Feb. 11th release

Yes, yes, the rumor about the T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8900 release being moved up to February 11th is true. One of our T-Mobile ninjas just sent us in some pictures of the Curve 8900 in their retail store. Don’t get too excited, though, as T-Mobile reps take this pretty seriously and won’t sell you one earlier than street date. But you’re wait is almost over, friends. Hit the jump for the rest of the pictures!
Thanks, Dominico!

What’s the pricing??? Are they going to price it at 199 (which is what 8300 and 8320 premiered at) or will they price it more competitively as T-Mo did in Germany and the UK?
I’d pay 199, but I think it would be awesome (although unlikely) if they priced it at below 100.
for the guy who asked
Q12009 is CDMA bold
2h2009 is CDMA 8900
Tmobile has a 6 month lockdown on it in the states, based off sales numbers it can be shorted to as little as 3 months.
As BG said, its a phone my RSM is carrying around.the last pic is an internal pic from our computers. The curve 8900 is infact going to be relased on Feb 11. As for pricing, no word on it yet. Just expect it to be very competative. It was running the 4.6 software. Expect more pics soon.
@NOThtckid
where did you hear T-Mobile had an exclusive on the 8900?
@dominico
excited for more pics dominico. thanks for the information!
Yes! There is a god! Im getting impatient as i type.
Sick sick sick!!!! is that going to ATT also
-still waiting for AT&T to wake up-
@htckid
Where are your sources from on verizon? Everyone is saying late spring for the CDMA Bold. Hopefully its not that late tho.
Domenico, I hope you’re a woman because your nail game is too official for you to be a dude. Pause.
@Steve RIM Jobs…3G is the most overrated feature available. Have a 2G Curve with Tmobile for personal and a Bold for work. DL speed differential is barely noticeable.
@Illa,
Not true. My girl has a 2g iphone and I had a 3g iphone before getting my Bold. 3G (here in NYC) was 3-4x faster loading very basic web pages. Granted drawbacks include battery usage, etc but dont say its overrated. I cannot use browser in 2G environment.
World is preparing for 4G and T-mo, again proving its the red headed stepchild of wireless co’s, is releasing antiquated technology.
It does look amazing however, I’ll give you that.
nice clock.
the tears of joy… they won’t stop flowing. beautiful =_0)
@BLackuLa: Yes, on AT&T in the Spring from what I’ve heard.
Once again, these have not made it to any stores yet. I wouldn’t expect to see any dummies or demos until after Feb 1st.
Time for an UPGRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!
why are the z and y keys switched? Did somebody say HUGE mistake at the RIMM factory?
I’m going to miss the back-lit keypad. A LOT!
Those are not my nails..my co worker was holding the phone. Lol…
THIS LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE NOKIA E71!!!!!
It looks in no way like an E71! The Curve 8900 is beautiful, and I would absolutely love to upgrade to this, but the E71 still has the crown for being the most elegant QWERTY smartphone. The glossy plastic on this looks cheap.
In any case, again, the reason it’s a QWERTZ keyboard is because that’s a demo from Germany. Obviously, stores wouldn’t have a phone more than a month in advance.
dude…it looks like the E71 but plastic.
BG, you need to speak to some AT&T ninjas ASAP.
I own the e71 and its so rad..they both look alike. I would get this new 8900 curve maybe a year or 2 from now when its dirt cheap.
the E71 is ugly compared to this
