Yup, only the one Firewire port on the 17″ version…

But it has an extra USB port. WHY OH WHY DIDN’T THEY REPLACE THE EXTRA USB WITH A FIREWIRE 400?!

This doesn’t have BOTH Firewire 400 & 800. It only has ONE Firewire 800 port. Please get your apple fanboy facts right.

BGR I think what you mean is:

Oops! We’re minutes away from Apple’s keynote featuring Phil “I am not Steve Jobs” Schiller and we’ve already got our second major bungle.

The team back in Boy Genius Report apparently got a little trigger happy and created a fake news story about the currently available 17″ MacBook Pro claiming that it is the new one.

Either that or Apple has really stooped low releasing an old product as new.
