Sprint to release the BlackBerry Niagara this quarter?

We know how hard it must be for Sprint BlackBerry users considering that Sprint missed out on recent handsets like the Storm and Bold. Sprint hasn’t even issued OS 4.5 yet but as the saying goes, “good things come to those who wait.” If you believe this latest rumor, a very good thing is on its way to the black and yellow land of Sprint — the Niagara. A CDMA variant of the Bold with updated looks to compliment the styling queues of the 8900 and Storm, the Niagara features all of the goodies one could hope for: full-QWERTY keypad, 480 x 360 display, EV-DO Rev. A, aGPS, WiFi and a 3.2 megapixel camera. We even hear that there might be HSPA world-roaming (wouldn’t that be swell?). If the rumor pans out, it would certainly give Sprint a much needed shot in the arm. But then again, Verizon would probably just come in after a short period of time and wreck the party.

I would like to say this being a blog, is not the truth of who will have or carry the phone, I am sure it will probably more than one carrier. With the other Blackberry phones you have to realize that when people say “oh that phone sucks” or “that phone is better than the other” its because it is their opinion and personal preferance. Any phone out there you have to test it before you purchase it and see if it is fitting for you, not purchase it because people say it is the “IT” phone. Good luck to you all.

    Can’t wait for this release!!

After reading through the comments I noticed people talking badly about Sprint.. I don’t get it if you’re a blackberry user.. There is simply no better provider.. $99 a month and I have unlimited EVERYTHING.. GPS,TV,Navigation, all tv shows, all internet, and all phone calls.. They may not be the best at having the most up to date phones at the time.. But my Curve can do everything I could possibly imagine and I never ever bother of running out of minutes or using something that I might be charged for.. It’s all included.. I will stick with Sprint till eternity on phones for that simple reason.. And considering I travel all over for the government with it, I have yet to find a place where I don’t have service.. I just wonder why anyone would ever pick anything else?

I don’t know where all the sprint hate comes in, maybe because I’ve only been with them for a few years but they are great as far as I’m concerned. I have yet to have a call drop and everything else has worked fine for me as well, I like the simply everything plan and I will stick with them unless something just terrble happens. I do like the idea of this blackberry coming to sprint and I hope it does.

I too dont understand all the sprint hate, i have been a customer for 13 years, i will admit in the past i thought the grass was greener on the other side, i have switched, and always run back to sprint and will NEVER stray again.
