The plot thickens: reputable case manufacturer adds iPhone nano to site

Vaja, a reputable case manufacturer known for high quality leather cases, has added an entry for the iPhone nano to its site. A round of rumors that started months ago and resurfaced recently when XSKN added iPhone nano cases to its site, several case manufacturers now have entries for the new shrunken Apple handset that doesn’t yet exist. A listing from XSKN is one thing but when a company like Vaja adds the iPhone nano to its site, you have to wonder if the handset’s release isn’t closer than we might think. iPhone fan blog iPhone Alley now states that an inside source is feeding them info pointing to an announcement at Macworld. While we’re skeptical at best with regards to this report – the blog states that its source reports the iPhone nano will “probably not include 3G” – a Macworld announcement is seeming more and more like a viable possibility. With the show only a week away at this point, at least we won’t have long to wait.

Could it be that Apple has sidestepped its agreement with AT&T and will offer the Nano, sans 3G, thru T-Mobile? A low cost Nano thru a low cost carrier could be a huge hit.

Lol @ GMoney_21 And the legions of fans who will tout it’s superiority and the “no need for 3G because the phone is awesome!” With this and the discounted iPhone refurbished brands that AT&T is doing we’re definitely looking at the new Razr, and that’s not a good thing.

Hmm, Greg might be on to something. I dont think AT&T would want a iPhone nano, seeing that the iPhone sells fine as it is. But then again, I dont see AT&T wanting any iPhone to be sold somewhere else, even if it was a lesser iPhone version.

Yeah, Im just contradicting myself. im gonna walk away.

I see the Vaja site offers to email you when this Nano Phone is released.

I wonder if it’s an all screen design, just smaller.

yea, jus wondering, does the exclusivity agreement only apply to the regular iphone or is Apple free to offer it to other carriers? Im sure Apple’s attorneys envisioned this issue coming up and addressed this in their agreements!

What’s the chance of this iPhone Nano showing up on – dare I say it… Verizon?

Think about it – AT&T and Verizon – the 2 biggest cell companies in the country with ties around the world.

    yea – you’re right…it will never happen!

XSKN I can disbelieve, but Vaja is a pretty good company(link is down), so I can believe that. AT&T has a contract with Apple for their network, so I doubt that Apple would break that for one phone coming out. True, it would be a different model, but still the iPhone tag on it, so lawyers would eat this up and Apple would be screwed. Although i’m sure they both have good lawyers that work every angle. It will be on AT&T, you can count on it. Don’t think it will be 2G either. Unless Apple has a ton of leftover parts they want to use up. We can only speculate its specifications at this point. I have said it before and i’ll say it again, there are many people that think the iPhone is too bulky as it is, and that many would like a smaller or sleeker version. I think it would sell.

and why do you think that the iPhone is dropping in price, albeit for the refurb. this is what Apple always does before the new models come out. I do have to agree with the quoted fanboy text- you can do pretty much everything on wi-fi, that is if you truly live in an area that has it everywhere(VOIP apps, email, text over email, its all there). Some guy tried to tell me last week on BGR that the LG Dare was a better phone than the iPhone. It doesn’t even have wi-fi.

I use an iPhone3G after years of BlackBerry, but that’s funny as fcuk. FWIW, I NEVER use wifi. ;)

    what a joke!!
I just spend 20 min on that vaja website. you guys have got to be crazy to think these guys will somehow be the leading edge vendor on new products. Take a look at their regular ipod nano. Heck, they dont even have the case for the LAST generation nano out yet, let alone some mysterious new iphone.
They also dont have the bbery bold, nor storm, or anything new that was released within the last 3 months!

    what sleeze…

Its coming. Look at all the refurbs showing up….you can get refurbs through AT&T and even Best Buy now. I doubt anyone else will get an iPhone besides AT&T for a while. You might see more retailers carry them possibly even Agent Channels finally. An iPhone Nano would definitely influence the on-the-fence people who have size issues with phones and you know Apple freaks will dum their regular iPhones for a chance to get an iPhone Nano just to say they have one. Its a little disturbing how those Apple freaks are.
