Early New Year’s gift from BGR: T-Mobile release schedule revealed, BlackBerry Curve 8900 included

Maybe one of our ninjas was feeling inspired by that crazy new Dick Tracy watch LG has in the pipes because he decided to go super-sleuth and dig up the goods on T-Mobile’s upcoming release schedule for January and February, 2009. This screenshot of T-Mobile’s internal release schedule reveals pink’s upcoming lineup for the first two months of 2009 and T-Mobile well, February is most definitely your month T-Mobile people! You’ve got two major handsets dropping on the 18th: the 8 megapixel Samsung Memoir and yes, that’s right, the highly anticipated BlackBerry Curve 8900. Can you hold out another month and a half? Here’s what you’re looking at over the next two months:

  • January 21: Sony Ericsson TM506 in scarlett
  • January 21: Nokia 7510
  • January 28: T-Mobile Shadow
  • February 4: Motorola Renew
  • February 4: Samsung t119
  • February 18: RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900
  • February 18: Samsung Memoir

hey Zach, any idea/guestimate as to what the Samsung Memoir will cost without contract?

I know many of us will be buying it outright after using upgrade for the 8900.

It is just the first bit of news leaked for us (BB delayed) VZW customres. As I returned the storm 48 hours after storm friday, i am still in need of my “new” bb fix.

Just tring to keep hope alive for a new toy sooner rather than later…and you guys usually have the good on early news…i’ll be checking back regularly.

    Thanks.

Jawsnj - Keep keeping hope alive! ;) We haven’t heard anything (yet) in terms of those EV-DO handsets being pushed back so hopefully VZW customers can still look forward to some solid BBs in 1H…

I’d get the Memoir if it had UMA/WiFi. If not, I’m all for the new BlackBerry 8900 since it’ll have those two features I love. I don’t really need 3G even though it would be “nice,” to have on a BlackBerry.

T-Mobile’s 2.5G network in LA is great for my needs and the voice quality actually seems clearer and sharper as of late.

Also, nobody can beat my 2000 AT minutes for $ 9.95 per month that I have with them. I’m not going anywhere!

Bout time. AT&T always seems to get all the cool handsets first. It’s our turn to get a few hot devices.

Dang, I guess the memoir will be here in February! I should have stayed with t-mob instead of jumping ship to AT&T for the iPhone.

Now I’m on a damn family plan and my mom won’t upgrade me to a new handset until like 2010 :p

I wish the 8900 would’ve been sooner rather than later but oh well, at least it’s coming. Anyone know what the Motorola Renew is? Oh, and BB214 — any new info for AT&T or VZW customers? I’m T-Mo, just trying to be fair lol.

Wow, some of you are pathetic… AT&T got the BOLD and Verizon got the STORM already, so what if T-Mobile finally gets it’s own “special” device?

    We’re all thinking it… I’m just saying it…

Anyone notice how most BlackBerry devices are Made in Mexico, yet BB214 claims to be in Canada where they produce them… hmmm…

Most my BlackBerry’s (Owner since 2005) have been Made in Mexico, including my 8320.

I could be wrong, just throwing that out there.
