    These kind of Apps are great but it slows the network for everyone around you, remember your wireless carrier doesn’t have a dedicated tower just for you, and you sure won’t like someone sucking up all the bandwith when you need it, so be kind to others so they can be kind to you

    Sling will be at CES. This is just release 1 and it looks really good so far. As for CDMA support, there are some technology differences in streaming video between GSM & CDMA. After the initial release, I would be willing to bet Storm support will be the next targeted platform. GSM = World Wide standard. That’s the largest target first. Smaller market opportunity would logically follow AFTER. You know.. kinda like how long it takes RIM to get new devices out on CDMA platforms? ;)

    Running it on my Curve, and even off of Edge the quality is pretty good. Can’t wait to try it out on WiFi.

    Isn’t Verizon the largest Blackberry carrier? I would think that CDMA would be the first to market to hit the biggest mass (In the US - I know GSM is bigger worldwide).

    @BP

    It’s not like they don’t want to offer the client to CDMA users, it’s because they can’t. They’ve worked hand in hand with RIM to get this far with the client, so obviously there is a technical issue with the CDMA chipsets that prevent this from working. Blame RIM. Blame Qualcomm. Blame whoever, just don’t blame Sling because if you were selling a client, wouldn’t you want as many people as possible to have access to it?

    This blows………

    We Verizon customers wait and wait for this download, only to get no love from Sling :-(

    The CDMA devices I’ve run WM on can handle Sling Mobile, so how about opening up the Blackberry beta to us too?!?!?!?!?

    Unhappy Sling Customer.
