    I am using it on my Bold…works like a charm. I have the first Slingbox that was released and it is working great…I have not used it in months since it’s inconvenient with a laptop but now I am hooked and will use all the time. Wow.

    Works great on my 8320 on wifi.

    On Edge the video was choppy — I guess that’s why Sling doesn’t officially support BB on Edge. But one option is to set the player to listen only mode. This gave me a steady audio stream and I suspect is a bit easier on the battery charge.

    Damn BG, couple more weeks and I was about to drop that vaporware comment again ;) nice to finally see the client for the RIM/Sling faithful!

    @BG

    That sounds like more of an assumption rather than a valid conclusion. Until Sling issues a valid statement dictating why it wont work with a CDMA device there will be no true reason known. It may be a carrier decision rather than a device incompatibility there’s no difference between the CDMA and GSM counterparts aside from the radio chip set.

    BTW: If you aren’t using CaptureIt for your device screen captures I’d highly recommend it.

    I’ve posted the reasons many times on SlingCommunity.com – BGR is right, it is a platform issue that RIM is working on and it only impacts the 8130/8330/8830. It has nothing to do with the carriers – well, other than them picking CDMA over GSM. If and when the issue is resolved we’ll support these models. You can load the software and see for yourself what happens – the BB resets when you try to stream.

    The Storm 9500/9530 is a different issue and is a combination of pending firmware updates to resolve some issues and us (Sling) needing to then work on the UI for the touch screen. It just came too late to make it into the first round but it is on the roadmap.
