XSKN makes no apologies, offers iPhone nano case for sale
So much for I’m sorry. It looks like XSKN is making no apologies for putting up iPhone nano case entries on its site as we discovered recently. Instead, the rogue retailer is now offering cases for sale. XSKN’s site is now littered with images of its iPhone nano case in a variety of color combinations and each is available for sale. Yup, $25 – $27 plus shipping will land you one of these cute new cases for a handset that many speculate will never exist. Sure, this is hardly solid evidence that we’re going to see the iPhone nano emerge any time soon and it is entirely possible that XSKN is allergic to repeat business and is just hoping to scam a handful of users out of a few pennies. On the flip side of the coin however, we might just be looking at a pretty good representation of a new Apple handset coming in the not-so-distant future. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – the question isn’t if Apple will hit the $100 price mark with a future handset, the question is when.
Thanks, Jon!

This will be Apples version of Rim’s Blackberry Curve…I could totally tell…
nobody believes that about not having a dropped call “in your life”. come on now.. no need to exaggerate. at&t and sprint are the 2 lowest providers for a reason. and i’m not talking about number of customers. i’m talking about network/customer service.
this is lame.. people complain that their fat fingers already have enough trouble on the current screen size. A reduced size that refuses to utilize landscape mode more is going to completely suck balls.
ALSO, the last thing the iphone needs is a keyboard. Maybe the geezers on the blackberry’s or palms with their styluses want that, but anyone who can adapt or who isn’t a complete idiot can figure it out…
@jakeyslying
i’m sorry that AT&T sucks in Assholeville, but everywhere else its ranked in the top 2 cellular providers. In fact, its the #1 GSM provider in the United States. How about that? But I suppose your with Verizon. Kinda sucks when you buy a new phone and you have to register it through them, huh? What about when you buy that cool used phone on Ebay? Oh yeah, because someboday stole it, you can’t use it. Gee, looks like your not batting very well here. On AT&T and T-mobile, you buy a phone, new or used, pop your sim card in, and away you go. Use a real username next time you coward. I’m good with AT&T and wouldn’t switch even if they didn’t have the iPhone. Oh, and you can’t even get one of those on your beloved Verizon… too bad. We are all very sad for you. But wait, the DevTeam has unlocked the iPhone for universal….oh wait, yeah… universal GSM use. Sorry again. Well, three strikes and your out. No run along little Casey.
first of all, learn the difference between “your” and “you’re”. it’s really not that hard, but then again you have at&t so you must not be very smart. where exactly are you getting your survey information? jd power ranks at&t 3, 4, or 5 in almost every category. i think they got 2 in ONE of them. guess who is #1.. verizon or alltel in almost every category and t-mobile in 1. also, on verizon, all you have to do is dial *228 and press 3 to change phones. if you can’t figure that out then you’re not smart enough to own a phone.
So far I think they are all FAKE pictures.
I saw another photo of the “nano” compared to the current device and it supposedly has a screen that is smaller, but the icons are same size: http://www.iphonehacks.com/images/08-Dec/iphone-nano-photo-tn.jpg
If that were true, apps would have to be developed to adjust to this screen size. The iPhone SDK currently available does not support development of apps in a smaller screen real estate.
Unless Urbanspoon has a privileged SDK, that app is not made to run on such devise.
@jakeyslying
“your’re” probably just pissed because “your” dumbass network doesn’t have the iPhone. Alltell doesn’t even cover the entire USA and uses other network towers. In fact Verizon just bought them up. Everything i’ve ever read says Verizon and AT&T are the top two. Haven’t you seen Mad TV? JD Power and associates are a joke. Read cosumer reports or CNET, at least they aren’t gettting paid as much to say a company is the best in their field. You are still a coward using that fake username. Does *228 tell you that the phone you bought off Ebay is blacklisted because it was lost or stolen….didn’t think so.
why are you using quotes? those are the actual words you’re supposed to use you fucking dumb ass. anyway, my name is tony if you must know. not that it really makes a difference. jd power is suddenly a joke now that verizon is number one? that’s really funny. i’m pretty sure cnet is the joke. half of their stories don’t even make sense. they just write shit for the sake of having a story. also, i’m sorry that you are too cheap to buy a full price phone. oh well.. the the cost of having THE NETWORK. cdma is #1 in north america.. get over it. and when lte is finally out, verizon will most likely be the first. so you go ahead and stick with your shitty at&t. btw, i don’t give a flying fuck about the iphone. i wouldn’t use one if it was given to me and the bill paid every month. it’s no different than the lg dare (which has more features). it’s pretty bad that apple puts their name on something and people are dumb enough to think it’s a good product.
Time out…
There is not another version of iPhone…
The CASE is called iPhone “Nano”, they have named the CASE iPhone NANO! Nothing more.
Why isn’t BGR giving due coverage to immensely popular iPhone fart applications. There are about 50 apps all dedicated to making fart noises on iPhone or iPod touch. Application developers and Apple are make serious money from these apps.
@jakeyslying
you seem pretty uptight about this tony. guess you are having a bit of iPhone envy. why would you even post here if you didn’t care about the iPhone? that seems pretty stupid to me. the LG Dare is nothing like the iPhone. you better go back to the drawing board and think up some new slams tony. oh how four letter words hurt…tisk tisk. only the ingnorant use those words…you’ve made a great fool of yourself tony. btw-an iPhone doesn’t make or break a person, sorry you think that way.
i’m posting on here really just because i have nothing else better to do. and yes, the lg dare IS ALMOST EXACTLY like the iphone except it’s better, even though they are both pieces of crap. i never said an iphone makes or breaks a person, but if you actually buy one then you’re a moron. it’s not even a real smart phone.
@jakeyslying
you are right tony, the iPhone is not a smartphone, its more like a pocket computer, which is NOT like the LG Dare. there are plenty of features that aren’t even close to each other. check your facts. BTW- your precious JD Power says the iPhone has the top overall customer satisfaction among business wireless smartphone users. Put that in your pipe and smoke it
have you ever used an lg dare? obviously not. the only thing that the iphone has on the dare is more apps. the dare beats it in every other way. the iphone has high customer satisfaction? woopty fucking doo. that’s doesn’t mean anything. and that’s iphone, not at&t. whether or not it’s a smart phone is a matter of opinion, and as a smart phone user, i don’t believe it to be one. you can’t even run more than one program at the same time on it. the only thing that makes it differ from any other dumb phone is the html browser and built in storage. so take an lg dare and put an 8gb micro sd card in it. if it was the “apple dare” i’m sure you wouldn’t have any problem with it though.
@jakeyslying
I thought you said both phones were crap. sounds like you have an LG Dare. from what I can see, the browser on the Dare sucks. does it even have wi-fi? i thought you cared about the JD Power wireless provider “customer satisfaction”…should we say woopty-do to that too? there is only ONE iPhone KILLER, and that was the second generation iPhone. nothing to date can beat it in OVERALL use. find me one phone that beats it. I “dare” you. btw- you never mention what phone you have, i bet its a RAZR and you think its still cool. come on man. come up with something good to fight about. your game is weak and i’m shooting you down without even trying. ps-i’m not an Apple fanboy.
they both are crap. i used to have a dare but not anymore. i GAVE it to my dad.. not that it’s really any of your business though. i currently have a curve.. not that it matters or that it’s any of your business either. “customer satisfaction” is a pretty vague term. apple is known for their customer service so of course they are going to rank high in that area. that doesn’t mean it’s a good phone. btw, you’re not “shooting down” anyone. it’s not a competition of who has the best comeback. it’s a discussion about a phone. also, wi-fi only matters when you’re on at&t. i have ev-do coverage EVERYWHERE i go with verizon and i drop a call MAYBE once every 6 months. the bottom line is that the iphone is just a phone. it doesn’t bring anything to the table that other phones don’t. the only reason it got so big was because of the touch screen and the apple logo. the choice between an lg dare on verizon or an iphone on at&t.. hmmm.. not hard. lg dare with the network. better phone and better service.. with cheaper internet.
@jakeyslying
they are both crap meaning you have owned and used them both…hmmm. you say customer satisfaction is a vague term, but you will swear by JD Power that wireless providers “customer satisfaction” is of high importance. you are contradicting yourself. are you telling me that ev-do is just as fast or faster than wi-fi? both verizon and At&t have 3G, one is GSM and the other is CDMA. they are nearly equal at this time, with a slight lead of about .5mbps for GSM. also, really the AT&T is 3.5G, not 3G. GSM 3g has massive room for expansion whereas CDMA 3g doesn’t have the headspace. a HUGE difference with the two is that GSM 3G allows for voice and data at the same time. CDMA 3G, when you make a call, the data pauses, when the call ends, the data unpauses. again, check your facts tony. touch screen technology has been around for YEARS, so just because Apple decides to use it on a phone doesn’t make them retarded. another point for GSM 3G- more and more laptop manufacturers are including 3G GSM built in cards. another point for GSM 3G- when travelling, most of the WORLD uses GSM 3G. again, shooting you down tony. this isn’t even fun anymore. come up with something good and i’ll listen. so far you have not at all. all you can do is slam Apple for their business practices. that is a big woopty-do. at least you have a decent phone in the Curve, i’ll give you that.
Jakeyboy
I would love to get an IPhone. It would be hard to beat if the ATT reception was improved, the speed was as advertised and the battery lasted. I tried it and so have scores of my associates in my field. the results are not those that we can count on. While you may have had no dropped calls, great but that is not the Universal experience. #G speed on ATT, this is a joke. I am not a BB advocate or lover. I had to go with a BB Curve on Verizon. Sure there are horror stories about Verizon. However, The BB is rock solid and I am not a Beta Tester for Apple. I would find it hard to believe that Apple feels that their product is rock solid and needs no work. Mobile Me, that sez it all. when the Product is perfected i will buy it and suggest it to others
@mw
the blackberry curve is a great phone! a worthy rival to the popular iPhone. 3G(#G..lol) speeds depend on the area and location you are at. they can vary drastically. as an iPhone user, i personally don’t use Mobile Me, don’t need it. buy a phone that has the stuff you need, and that happened to be a BB for you, which is great. I had a friend buy a Tilt, great. I have an iPhone, great. everyone is entitled to their owns likes and dislikes. we are not robots or clones, we are unique individuals.
if you can’t see the difference between customer satisfaction for service and for a phone then you’re even dumber than i thought. if i want to go overseas, all i have to do is rent a phone. it’s not that big of a deal. 5 years from now that won’t matter anyway. at&t network might be faster with 3.5g, but it’s still crap and they have horrible coverage. you’re a dumb ass. i’m done arguing with you. merry fucking christmas everyone.
@jakeyslying
i never called customer satisfaction for service and a phone the same thing. YOU are the one who put JD POWER CUSTOMER SATISFACTION at such high regard, but couldn’t take it that the iPhone won for the very same thing. any idiot knows the difference between a phone and an entire network. we can’t all be as cool as you tony. thanks for proving my point. i bid you adieu (that means farewell tony, just in case you wanted to know). next time do some research before you type. ignorance is surely bliss…
“Rent a phone” haha. That’s funny. You could just have one phone… Anyway…I’m gonna put my money on the nano phone. A slightly stripped down phone is not that uncommon.
wow will you two rent a room and pound eachother from behind already. homos
@mangenius
i’m not a fag dude. thats gay.
I could see the iPhone Nano becoming a reality. While I’d much rather have the iPhone in it’s current form factor, there are others who’d like something smaller.
It’s be really cool to see it with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, though I doubt that would happen.
