Sprint Treo Pro 850 and Pink Samsung Instinct make their way to Best Buy… soon

One of our faithful ninjas just wrote in to let us know that Sprint’s not-so-kept-secret Treo Pro 850 will be making its way to Best Buy along with a pink version of the Samsung Instinct. You know, the phone that beats the iPhone. The estimated in-stock date is listed as December 8th, but our tipster tells us that is normal. If it’s in the system, it’s a-comin’. Now, the real question is, who’s going to buy a Sprint Treo Pro and a pink Samsung Instinct? Huh? Huh? You know you want to. Larger shots after the breakage.
Thanks, Payroll
UPDATE: Our ninja just informed us that the actual in-stock dates for both of these items looks like January 25th. Have fun!

“Samsung Instinct. You know, the phone that beats the iPhone.”
Is that a joke or is the Instinct really supposed to be that legit?
Hmmm, the Instinct price got cut off at 99.99, is this the price, or did it lob off a 1?
Black instrinct is actually 49.99 this week at BB
My boy wanted the treo pro but he had sprint I guess he’ll be one of the few to get it lol
@iamjoel5
i think he was being sarcastic, but the instinct does have mms…
I’m just glad I went with the diamond over the treo 800w. I would be pissed to have it EOL’d so early. Long before my upgrade would have reset.
Running for public office, BG? Talk about pandering to the vocal minority [where all-things-Palm is involved]!
the instinct beats the iphone in being a regular 3g phone better gps, streaming vid, voice dialing and commands, ota music, opera mini is a close second to safari, mms, video recording.. so to the avg person yea it could be and i kno people that love it.. if u dont need a superior music/vid player, more powerful hardware, and an app store thats mainly full of bs than yea its better thats a big if but for some the pluses which are big too out wiegh the minuses
The Instinct drives what are the higher priced data plans. Unlike iPhone, WM or Android it has no developers out there. It replaces the Centro as the cheap entry level to drive users into data and paid GPS plans. Pink sells well and freshens that phone somewhat after six months.
The Palm Pro is meant to stop the really bad problems with the prior model, the 800w, which had mass returns. The 800w was a nightmare for Sprint. It has warranty claims on GPS, which is still not working right, and lots of dissatisfaction over battery life and poor audio. The Pro fixes those problems, has top reviews, and is more professional and modern looking given the limits of non slide keybards.
It’s definitely a joke…
I wish more colors of the Instinct would come out. On a side note there are things the iphone can do that the Instinct can’t and vice versa, the list of efficiency is greater for the iphone
I also saw there is a black refresh instinct coming?? Is this something new or same as original black one???
i work in a best buy mobile and i haven’t heard of a refreshed black instict coming but the 25th is the actual street date for both the pink instinct and the 850w for best buy.
i actually prefer my instinct over the iphone. i think it has a little bit higher as far as functionality. web browsing is weak and the lack of an app store as well as an accelorometer are bummers for me.
I wonder if it will be $50 like the original color is now, only at Best Buy.
the black refresh was for the palm centro. sprint came out with two new refresh colors and kept the black one, having a refresh line for an older phone
I was about to buy the Instinct again til finding out about the Android Instinct, my BM wants the Berry Centro and am wondering if she would like the new color on this
instinct price in actual sprint stores, will drop to 99.99 after rebates. pink instinct released jan.11, and yes there is a black refresh to the instinct. and Treo SUCKS, all of them suck and so does the iphone
I was hoping the Best Buy price would stay at $50, guess that was holiday pricing
Missing your pink Instinct on that horrendously overpriced Simply Everything plan, Precious?
Truth’s a bitch, boy.
By your logic, you should be with Metro, Boost or Leap then because all the other national carriers are even more expensive than Sprint. These are nice phones to me and now that the Instinct has worked out the bugs it’s even better, the Pro will have it’s place until the Pre debuts.
With you navigating Sprint’s corporate decisions*, better watch out for that little iceberg dead-ahead, Skippy.
*Same decisions previously made which produced 1.3M subscribers leaving _in a single Quarter_ only a few months ago.
Thanks for that news flash, Instinct and Pro were the subject

Lying-Louie-the-Sprintster-Shill who said: “It better be be because the Instinct isn’t the winner they thought it would be despite the marketing and updates.”
Bitchboy.
What did I lie about, the Instinct is not the winner they thought is was, doesn’t mean it’s not a good phone now. In fact I was picking it up again last month til the Android Instinct showed. Took a lot to find where you thought I contradicted myself just to come up short and my opinions aren’t facts. There are plenty of people that were satisfied with it before the update, I wasn’t one, after though all the stuff I had a problem with were fixed and now that phone is really appealling to me again but now that the newness is practically around the corner I can wait. I have 2 upgrades this year, one now and the other 9/09. To reiterate, neither mine or your opinion is fact. I realize that you, on the other hand, seem not to.
Even ‘gog8rs’ acknowledges that the Palm 800w is toast. Wonder why it’s simply beyond you, bitchboy.
Then again, _MUCH_ is simply beyond you.
