I’ve been a huge fan of Garmin GPS’s for years for myself and gifts. my cell phone has been broken/on it’s last leg for months. Garmin has screwed around with it’s Fone for so long I can’t wait anymore. I’m incredibly disapointed at Garmin decision to release the nuvifone in 2nd half of 09 (Dec 09) another year away? I can’t wait, I need a phone and a gps so I’m going to go with Tom Tom and an iPhone. Garmin is a major disapointment again.

I wonder if Steve Jobs is raising his eyebrow just a little at all of the newly announced Android phones said to be coming by 2009’s end. Seems like there’s another random (and they are random. Kogan? Garmin?) virgin phone manufacturer throwing its hat into the mobile (specifically Android) ring each week.

As a GPS store owner (and authorized retailer of Garmin), I am oh so very, very happy about the upcoming handsets. We have been getting killed by people deciding that they can use their cell phone’s GPS in a pinch and don’t need an independent device. An Android based handset would be even better!!!!
