Lulz, you can tell it’s the 1st gen because of the side views. The sides are silver, unlike the black & white 3G cases, as well as the black bottom and silver top. There’s also the fact that you can tell by the profile of the phone. I’m curious to see if this will actually work for 3G on T-Mobile because they use the 1700 3G Bandwith while AT&T uses 2100 and 850. In any case, we’ll see tomorrow.

I’m surprised u can tell it’s a 1st gen iPhone…looks the same to me. Good job Dev-Team…although I do not see what the benefits of this labor is.

T-Mobiles 3g utilizes different frequencies than AT&T’s. So, the 3g iPhone here in American can only be used on AT&T’s 3G network, unless you want to be using edge in which case just buy a 1st gen iPhone..

t-mobile has 3g, just not a whole lot of it. otherwise, you can switch the 2nd gen iPhone from 3g to EDGE in the main menu. In fact, I used EDGE most of the time anyhow. 1st gen iPhone is great, but the 2nd gen is much better. Either way, you’ll love it.

if the 3g doesn’t work in the U.S. then why buy this and unlock it for T-mobile? The original iPhone is cheaper…

Or if you live in the US it doesn’t matter at all since it only works on one 3G network…
