Well look at what the cat dragged in! COWON’s sexy new S9 found its way over to BGR HQ and we decided to go ahead and unbox it for you – you know, holiday spirit and all. The mock ups of the S9 make the device look insanely attractive and truth be told, in person it doesn’t disappoint. And to me it looks like a cheap iPod Touch wannabe… Does all of them have to copy an iPod’s UI?
Wait, the UI is stolen? How? Because it has large icons? I suppose the iPod touch / iPhone UI is stolen from Palm OS then.

No, some devices with an iPoo Touch-like interface actually have good internals (like vastly superior DAC’s) to back up their pretty face (unlike the iPoo Touch).
For me, the screen should be bigger than that of the Ipod touch. Considering how integrated Ipods are these days and how successful the app store has been I think a bigger and better screen is the only logical way you could compete. Of course there are those out there who don’t by Apple products under any circumstances for which this is a great porduct but what about people like me who have no loyalty and want the absolute most for their money. All that blank real estate on the front is very annoying imo.
The UI is not stolen, Apple doesn’t own anything in it, but looks too close, I wonder what are those little white and colored dots on the bottom. And the device looks too big compared to an iPod. But it has some cool things, got to admit, like radio, voice recorder, flash (but no wi-fi;), document viewer I think…
Or is there a Wi-Fi, has an FCC ID on the back…
