BlackBerry Media Sync updated to support album art, Vista 64-bit

Good news for everyone who uses their BlackBerry as an MP3 player — BlackBerry Media Sync has been updated by RIM and is now sitting all pretty at version 1.1.0.24. The most important new enhancement brought about by the upgrade is support for iTunes album artwork, something which made all previous versions before this seem like a pathetic sham of an iTunes-syncing application. Beyond that, users running a 64-bit version of Vista need no longer feel left out as their machines are now supported. Mac users on the other hand are still left in the dark, for now.

I hate RIM for this. What year are we in?

I can’t sync media without 3rd party crap and most importantly to me is that I can’t to firmware updates!!

Rim sucks for this and need to hurry up already

I’m still trying to figure out why someone would want itunes when amazon has drm-free music.

Have you ever thought that it might not be RIM but Apple? And that they may have to work out licensing etc.

The Ipod is great but I am sure glad that my BlackBerry is a BlackBerry and not a toy.

What’s iconic is that itunes is a Mac product.

When you try to install it, it says Missing Sync will no longer work! There is no way I’m deinstalling Missing Sync for this lame attempt at a sync app. Does RIM really believe this will make Mac users feel better?! OMG, RIM just doesn’t get it!

I am officially hating the Media Sync software. Not only does it NOT import my album art but it is now crashing while doing its main function of importing music!!!! Very disappointed.
