Upcoming 2009 handsets from Motorola pose for BGR on their way to Verizon
Well lookie here. Motorola apparently has a few tricks up its sleeve that might just surprise us in the coming year. Well they would have any way, if our trusty ninja didn’t come through with the goods! Moto fans, feast your eyes on four sexy handsets coming your way in what is shaping up to be Motorola’s final shot at survival. For the time being details are slim; in fact pretty much all we have are images, the knowledge that they’re all hitting Verizon Wireless, code names and a 2009 time frame (though we do know the RUSH 2 will be out during Q1, likely early in the quarter). We’re seeing some big changes here in terms of common styling cues from Moto – just look at the FLASH, pictured above. Sharp angles and raised, blended buttons – it actually looks pretty hot! There’s plenty more where that came from of course, so hit the jump for shots of the other three handsets.

Any word on specs? i.e. rev-A? Voip? Storage?
Verizon gets the good phones. T-Mobile gets the crappy ones. That’s the way it goes – don’t expect anything great from T-Mobile

I’ve been drooling over the Omnia since before it was released to VZW. I could use all of the features, but don’t want to pay $360/year just for the priviledge. I really want Wi-fi and WinMo. I may just hold on to my Glyde and see what transpires. I’ve been a Motofan since Razr.
the calgary looks like it doesnt have a camera…PROBLEM
with the new ceo, cancelled platforms, cancelled phones. who knows if any of these phones are still in the pipeline. besides, what makes u so sure its the 2009 portfolio. it could be 2010. if it is 2009, surely u’ll have gotten some real photos by now, instead of some artist rendering.
omg i want that rush 2!!it looks tight. whats the point of havin the cam on the front? thats sorta dumb.. i love that red but instead of the white/red , it should be blackk with red. i hope it comes!! june is comin bby!
none of them will be running on anndroid or they would tell you in the article
just because all of these are on verizon doesn’t meen that other motophones aren’t on other carriars that they don’t know about

From the picture, to me, it looks like the Calgary is a smart phone. What makes me think this is the button along the bottom with the house on it. I have a Moto Q and it has the same exact house on it… any thoughts?

I like the Calgary and the Rush form factors. Moto, keep it thin and don’t make the mistake of using only a 2.8 in screen. It has to be 3 in min.
It would be nice if it could be flashed to run winmo or android. A GSM version is a must. CDMA draws to much juice so battery life is short.

China doesn’t use the same CDMA we use here in the states.
First off for all you dumb GSM users Verizon sucks U.S. Cellular BEING THA DOMINATE HERE the only company not to be bought out or merge with another company is CDMA and will always be CDMA SPRINT SUCKS, ALLTEL SUCKS, VERIZON SUCKS, NEXTEL WHICH SPRINT STOLE SUCKS, AT&T WHICH USED TO BE ANOTHER COMPANY THAT ALSO OWNED SUNCOM WHICH TMOBILE BOUGHT SUCKS CINGULAR NOW AT&T SUCKS, USCC HAS THA BEST COVERAGE OVER ALL MAYBE SOME OF YOU GSM USERS SHOULD COVER OVA MY WAY AND TRAVEL BET U WONT GET A SIGNAL CUZ IN THA MOUNTAINS THEY DONT PUT GSM TOWERS HAHAHA VZW & USCC & ALLTEL ARE THA ONLY ONES THAT WORK U MIGHT GET A WEAK SIGNAL FROM SPRINT OR NEXTEL BUT I DOUBT IT.

THANK GOODNESS VERIZON. I know they are vampires, but I never have service problems. They suck every penny out of u. I’m sooooooo glad they are finally getting cool phones. holding off buying the omnia with the hanging stylus or the HTC Touch with crippled RAM so I can check thses phones out. Can’t WAIT!!!!!
