just curious but how do you connect your iphone with the HP? netshare? if so… is your iphone hacked or did you buy netshare?

im looking into a netbook that i can use my iphones sim card if possible for internet…

can more ram be put in this like 2 gb? how many slots does it have and are they user accessible??

by next year this time the modem should be standard on this “net” book so we can actually connect it on the go. and 6 cell battery too.

I bought my Mini 1000 at Best Buy and they have a 16GB version and it has the sim card slot but no 3G modem inside. So I feel your pain…

Why do they require the 60 GB hard drive? I was going to get this Netbook with the 16 GB SSD and 3g, but now I have to choose whether I want the SSD or the internal 3g. I really don’t understand the logic. 16 GB is certainly plenty of space to install the broadband modem drivers.

I own the HP Mini 1000 and I’m able to connect via my iPhone’s 3G connection but the speed varies from time to time. I don’t think I’d pay $200 to have a dedicated card to connect when I can do it this way just fine. I’d rather pay the $30 a month and tether my iPhone 3G before I paid $200 plus the monthly fee for the wireless card access.

And leave Kelly alone, she is just doing her job by reporting the news she finds in the tech world. Whether it’s good or bad news, at least she is reporting it accurately.
