Samsung Omnia from Verizon already gets discounted
We showed you the first live images of it, we priced it and gave you a release date, Verizon announced it and we unboxed it. What more Omnia news could you possibly want? Ahhh, how about a price drop? That’s right people, a mere eight days since the Omnia became available online and through telesales and Verizon is already dropping the price to a cool $199 after $70 mail-in rebate. The new price is down from $249 after the same rebate. Talk about a killer early adopter tax – the Omnia won’t even hit many stores until next week and we already have a 20% price drop! Those of you who purchased the handset already can still be happy knowing that you were one of the first people to have Verizon’s sleek 5 megapixel smartphone, despite the fact you fell victim to a solid gouging. Hey, it happens to the best of us from time to time.

Hey, yah I’ve had the omnia for a few days now, I love it but the battery life is horrible! I’m hoping I can just upgrade the firmware and maybe it will fix it? idk but it has very very poor battery life, e-mail is great though.

Only the i900 Euro version is GSM, not the US i910. I wish it were, but you can’t have everything. I think the wi-fi makes it better than the Storm, at least for my needs.
GoBrowns, how did you get Google Maps to work on your Q? I have the q9m, love it, but can’t get g-maps to work. It won’t update my position as all. Did you find a way to make the GPS work with g-maps?

1. Battery… Drain so fast
2. Phone freezing 5 times in 2 days
3. Can’t see the screen or taking picture in bright day light. (I couldn’t see the screen when I was tried to take the picture for my daughter at the play ground)
4. Ugly touch response- Same as Chiness made fake iphone.
dude samsung omnia sucks. i had it for about 28 days and i’m glad i returned it before my 30 day trial period. the screen flips for no reason, even when you’re not moving your cell it flips. and it takes forever, i mean FOREVER to flip back to it’s original side. camera is really good. if you have too many programs open your phone would just act like a mini computer.. it’d freeze everything and you;d have to restart it. it takes about 80 seconds to get back on. i’ve tried blackberry storm, samsung omnia, apple iPhone and they all suck.. i mean literally they do suck. now i’m with verizon ..got a blackberry 8330 or w/e the number is… oh well it’s a lot better than any touch screen phone.. what you see is not always gold my dear.
turn the wi-fi and bluetooth off. that might save you some battery… usually it doesn’t work.. its just the phone that sucks due to so many programs on it

glad you hear your phone froze only twice in 5 days. mine froze every single day due to the vz navigator
