these 8350i sprintnextel blackberry are the biggest piece of junkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk ive ever had!! the echooooooooooo so bad that i dont even use them !!! then when u call customer service and they are sooooooooooooooooooo give you the run around!!! bottom line sprintnextel your company knew there was and still is issues with these phones and still will sell these phones as of 4 3 2009 !! i really think that theres a safety issue with these phones cause what happens when someones loved ones has to call 911 and the 911 operator can NOT communicate with you cause the echoooooooooo so bad !!! ex. 911 trying to give you instructions on giving cpr to your loved one or someone in general!!!!!!!! im curious as bad as these phones are if 911 could do a gps locator on these 8350i sprintnextel blackberry phones!!!!!!!!! sprintnextel when does the old mighty dollar become more important than a good safe and functional product???? these 8350i sprintnexttel blackberry are the worse phones ive ever had in my whole life !!! if anyone wants to call me about these phones and ill will tell you what ive gone tru with these 8350i phones and the horrible situation i am currently going tru with sprintnextel customer service currently as of 4 3 2009 !! heres my numbers to contact me at 352 812 2514 or 352 857 0214 my name is chris gilbert!! ohh just one more note, ive been in the hospital fighting with cancer for the last 8 months and have tubes going tru my mouth and into my throat and stomach and lost a kidney,one lung and most of my stoamch and 80 pounds and if sprintnextel ould do this to me and knowingly having known that these phones would not working properly as soon as they was sent to me, what would they do to you and your loved ones??????????????????? god bless you !!!!

I am a Sprint Employee in the Los Angeles market, who currently is Advocate for the device and let me tell you the device is amazing! Wifi runs great! Blazing fast, the Web is actually faster on the 8350i (when using Wifi) than my Sprint 8130! And the PTT, Verizon can market their version of PTT but there is only one and its Nextel’s and that’s the best and everyone else models theirs after the best! Now the iDen network will be even better then before, trust me Sprint knows that!

Can’t tell you why the device was pushed back, but its simple supply and demand…

Be patient everything you are hearing about the device is true and none of you will be disappointed! Patience is a virtue!!!

I am with Nextel and have a i580 with my company plan then I went to Sprint with the Samsung Ace for my personal plan. I’ve used WM devices since the first Dell Axim and thought WM 6.1 was the cats ass. I was wrong. The 8350i Blackberry is intuitive and very configurable. I setup WIFI at work, home and parents house and it connects each and every time I walk in the door. The internet off the WIFI is much faster than my sprint connection with the Samsung ACE and the battery last two days with calls and pictures and listening to Led Zeppelin every now and then. It gets way better reception than my i580 on my business plan and has a buttload of room with the 4 GB card I loaded into it. I can now send pictures and video with my emails. With the redirector I can redirect my office email to my 8350i. A feature the old Blackberrys could only do with access to the company enterprise server. Too bad Nextel is not pumping up this bad boy, and all the haters are on the site posting crap. They probably haven’t even seen one yet. I get all my email when I’m out and about, send emails, and love the speed it connects with the blackberry applications on sites like Foxnews, ESPN, Weatherbug, WSJ and USA Today. I bought one of these yesterday and I have to say I am totally surprised with this phone . it is, hands down, awesome . and as for the earlier question of the OS , im pretty sure its 4.7 .the clarity of this phone is overwhelming. truthfully I havn’t bought a blackberry cause of the lack of PTT . but with this one, I can’t see going to anything else . the only down side is the IDEN data network is a little slow but eh, and the fact that it has built in wifi totally makes up for it . so, a long story short, all you bashers don’t know what your talking about, and until you try it your opinions are rather useless

I got my 8350i blackberry phone today and “IM NOT HAPPY” at all with this phone. this is the mew 7100i all dressed up and “NO WHERE TO GO” this phone has all kinds of software problems, from texting, picture mail, to the Web browser. this phone uses the old out dated nextel system so it dont support the blackberry software application so what you have is a blackberry phone with a mobile wab browser.

so this phone do not support blackberry software of application that is why you is having all the “PROBLEM” with this phone. sprint need to “UP DATE THE OLD OUTDATED NEXTEL SYSTEM FIRST. SO IM SENDING THIS PHONE BACK TO SPRINT

same here terry, not only having troubles receiving pics but regular text messages are not coming through… i have to shut off/restart the phone and then i start receiving messages… about to get on the line w/ sprint to see what’s up w/ that…

one thing i must say, i don’t know if sprint made some improvements to the iden voice network… but going from the i730 (which sucked and everything sounded digital) to the hyrbrid (cdma/iden – good combo)and now this 8350 (so far so good… no dropped calls, no digital voices…) i think sprint did something because the quality is very very good, almost like cdma-ish… let me not jinx it… lets see how it goes from here on out…

OK, so I went down with my new best friend (8350i) to the sprint store to get some crap, They had nothing… so he tried to seel me curve stuff, everything he tried to sell me would not fit right, I tried the otter thingy and it didn’t work, so if you get ANYTHING at all, make sure the packaging says it is specifically for the 8350i, because they are bigger, a little, so those soft surronds barely fit, kind of covered the push to talk button, and like I said the otter thingy for the curve would not work, so just make sure whatever you get is for the 8350i.

Also, man this thing is awesome, hate to say it, But worth the wait, if you think about it, were such whinners, I know, but I don’t care, But it is way cool, I downloaded google earth and it works awesome. I went from an i90 to this, so I got allot to learn, but it is so fun, Today I had a dr apt and my dr was an hour behind, I didn’t even notice cause I was trading stock options on etrade and time was like—————–> LUV IT FOLKS.

So I got mine last week, cause I complained about needing to test it on all the network changes I been making on iDEN switches, so they finally got it to me last Thursday and Like I said before, I pre-ordered on on Friday to, so now I got 2, WHAT, so I am putting the wifey on it now.

We should eventually set up a site somewhere, where we can all get eachother im addresses and talk, and PTT eachother, we gotta resurect this iden stuff man, there was a time when if you had this, YOU WERE THE JUNK! well I still think its the best out there.

only issue I have been having is trying to track a satellite, but like I sid, I went from an i90 to this, so I got allot to learn Homie mcnomie’s…

Right on yall, I love it so much, hey, when I activated it, there was one other issue, they kept asking me for an MSN number, well there is no msn number anywhere, I had to go to a specialist, so if you run into them asking for an msn number, tell them they have to do a conversion of some sort, they have to convert you IMEI to an MSN, so if you get there, do that.

PEACE OUT! yeah, I said peace out, who’s gonna make fun of my ghetto talk…. hee hee, Im so not ghetto, but I luv typing ghetto….

so IMEI coverts to your MSN, MSN is not your mobile subscriber number either, TRIED THAT.

That got damn UPS! Those butt holes never deliver anything on time. My fiancee waited for those fucker all day and they never showed. I checked the tracking website and the driver put in the system that no one was available to sign for the package. He never made an attempt. You can’t even get respect from the UPS drivers when you live in the hood. Bastards!

I think I did like (4) pre orders to make sure I get this phone… didn’t get a tracking number like tritan… wish they would give me something like that then I can rest easy… one rep told me they’re prepping for monday… she said its going to be a mad house… and not to even bother going to the stores cuz they will not have this phone… only through telesales… I asked at what time they’re open so I can be the first call… and even with my pre orders, I’m going to try and the the first one on the phone w/ t sales… good luck everyone!!
