Dell mixes it up and adds some color to its Inspiron Mini lineup
Dell announced on Thursday that it is adding two new colors and three new Tristan Eaton designs to its Inspiron Mini 9 and Mini 12 netbooks. The new colors include Cherry Red and the very feminine Pretty Pink. Dell also licensed the work of Tristan Eaton, avant garde toy designer, to produce three exclusive images that will adorn the outer casings of the Inspiron Minis. Eaton’s designs include “The Muse,” a blend of colorful patterns and the female form as well as “Stickers 1” and “Stickers 2,” which emulate the landscape of stickers you might see covering the bottom of a skateboard, the walls of CBGB’s or a lamppost in New York. Both “The Muse” and “Stickers 1″ will be available in two color schemes. Hit the jump for a quick look at the colorful new Minis.

Already returned mine. Slow and buggy. Worst part is, they did not build in a way to “restore to factory settings.” If there’s a problem, you have to reinstall the OS, and for that you have to have an external drive.
Huh. I really like mine. It’s my third netbook, and easily my favorite.
To each his own, I guess.
This probably won’t come up that often but take note that BGR played a big part in making someone’s Christmas that much more special because of their attention to even the small details.
About two days ago I bought the mini 9 for my wife, who travels frequently for work. Me, being the awesome husband thought how nice a mini notebook would be perfect for travel but all they had were white and black. Well I was skimming BGR, found this article, called Dell and half an hour later I cancelled my original order and have the pink one on its way. Having the pink one will ensure that it becomes her notebook and not mine. You won’t catch me sporting a pink mini lol.
Anyways, all of you at BGR can sleep good tonight knowing you indirectly made my wife’s Christmas that much more special.
