It is JUST a Storm, coming to Verizon.

the audio is from the first verizon storm commercial. the video is new. judging from the side profile, it looks like a storm. expect a video review soon. thursday the 20th is my guess.

Obviously the AT&T version of the Blackberry Storm.
Doesn’t look like they have the Storm. They will probably get their hands on one later this week, and post a review on or after 21st of November. Who cares what they have to say in their review, anyway?
Could be the Blackberry Meteor or Blackberry Jupiter. Maybe the At@t 9520.

Maybe it’s the result of the new super secret collaboration between Apple & RIM! I doubt if any of you have heard of this but a hybrid iphone/storm combo has secretly been in development for months now. It will combine the best features of each device to create one super phone! It will also be the worlds first “green” phone which will be 100% solar charged and it made entirely from recycled metals and used automobile tires. You can expect a release date of 6/09 and will be offered for free with 2yr contract on all US carriers. I’ll keep BGR updated as more details emerge. What I want to know is how did the genius get his grubby little hands on one so soon?
The Wifi comments are hysterical. Att/Apple fanbois coming out of the wood work. You need wifi on att’s craptacular lack of a 3G network. You dont need it on verizons. Have the ATT fanbois ever considered why they dont allow tethering on the iphone 3G? Hmm could it be beacuse it would instantly bring down ATT’s network? Let that simmer in your brain for a bit.

Tethering plans for the iphone have already been announced by Ralph de La Vega already. It’s expected to be available at the same time as the 2.2 firmware. Probably next week.
And WiFi IS necessary for ALL networks. My company gives us Verizon Blackberry 8830s, and I get zero signal at our office. But we do have a WiFi network.
So that just craps all over your theory.

Oh so it took a whole year and half for the iphone to get tethering. Very nice.
Why the fcuk do you need wifi for your storm at work? Presumably you have a COMPUTER at work, right? Unless you make sandwichs at a deli, using the storm at work is useless.
I dont agree with that.. depending on your job role you arent necessary at your desk all the time… the signal in the data center is lousy at work cause of the servers and the fact that its in the center of the building. Wifi would be good in case of emergencies but I have lived without wifi on a phone i can deal with this one not having it
Come on guys be realistic. BGR’s review will rip the Storm apart! Everyone knows this and the iphonefanboys can’t wait. If you want a review go try it for yourself. Everyone has the right to love the device they want, BG obviously loves iphone and that is his right. This is HIS ship and he can guide it how he wants. Biased site? Very much so! Do we care? Apparently not, we visit multiple times a day. Verizon will sell MILLIONS of Storms, get ready to see them everywhere. Enjoy the fact that BG will cringe each time he see’s more Storms than Iphone’s at his local Starbucks one day real soon. Of course he will be in a better mood the next day when he see’s more iphones, but finally there is some competition.
Competition is a good thing, take a look at your new XM and Sirius channel line up. ugh… Anyone missing THEIR favorite station? Competition will bring the applefans their MMS and copy and paste much sooner than later because of competition.
You can be sure BGR will have every weapon ready on Nov. 21st to keep the competition at bay.

Is this ignorance or people just playing dumb? The original commercial was not this same one…it was shot outside and the purpose of it was so it could be continued…which they did on the next commercial where they mentioned the “man genius”
