Blackberry Storm to hit Best Buy November 23rd
We just want to warn all you Sunday newspaper readers out there: Don’t be alarmed when you flip to the Best Buy ad and see the Storm front and center on the Best Buy Mobile page for this Sunday. Yup, there it is in all its glory, supposedly available for sale today. It is even listed with a free Plantronics 360 bluetooth headset. Don’t go running down to Best Buy just yet though. It wont be there as these fliers were printed before the latest delay that pushed the Storm launch to November 23rd for Best Buy. A small disclaimer on its website confirms the new release date. So anyone who doesn’t want to brave the crowds at Verizon stores on release day can head on down to your local Best Buy one week from today and score yourself a Storm. Start robbing those piggy banks though, as the Storm without a contract as purchased from Best Buy will set you back a cool $599. All I said that caused a massive FANBOY attack was the Storm was expensive for a device with NO WiFi, NO games or apps, and inferior UI to some other devices. Sorry I offended the great FANBOY in the cloud! I did not even mention an iPhone in my original post. Guess this is sour spot among FANBOYS. HAHAHA
For a business phone, what will all those Storm and VZW BB owners do on planes when many of the airlines launch WiFi (reported right on this blog)? I will tell you, they will watch Bold and iPhone users work and play, while they sit next to their brick!

You do not seem to understand I could care less what YOU say. I did not know you were the mayor of the blog and polled all the readers the ones that comment and the ones bored by you droning on about nothing heaving personal attacks.
All of my comments, even the one above has facts in them, NOT personal attacks. Maybe you may want to spend your time with an organization that like exclusion of ideas and opinions. There are the Nazis, the KKK, and the skinheads. Take your pick.
I discussed lacking features and apps on a phone they plan to sell at a pretty high price. If you do not agree that NO WiFi, games, or apps is important to a potential buyer, than great.
Maybe you want to read that three major airlines have announced that WiFi will soon be available on flights. Since all the VZW BB fanboys claim that the Storm is a business phone, I thing this is quite important. Why? Because many business travelers spend lots of time in the air! If they buy ANY BB form VZW they will be flying with a brick, while other “smarter phone” users will be productive!
So if choice is a bad thing, why bother, just spend your money and shut up.

I am readin Paul’s little comments…and you seem to have a particular grudge against Verizon, not the phones. One, the Blackberry you have is NOT 3g being the Storm IS the only one we carry that utilizes 3G. Not to mention, our 2G network is KILLING all at&t speeds that I have ever seen in any market, whether Metropolitan or boondocks. Keep in mind that the WiFi is not cared about for the sole reason that Verizon’s 3G coverage covers 80% of the entirely US population’s locations, AT&T’s is only 40%, which is the sole reason why so many of their phone have WiFi. The average consumer does NOT use VoIP because they have a phone to use with adequete minutes and are willing to pay for their usage rather than cheating with VoIP (let alone it takes a little more than bordem to set that up). And who cares about who’s faster, as long as I can stream a YouTube video with a 2 sec buffer, I don’t think anyone really is that concerned with speed. I’m not saying the Storm is an iPhone killer, it just can steal iPhone users who need a phone more than a brag right.

I do want to personally apologize for the shortage we are having regarding the Storm. Please see you local Verizon Wireless rep for more details or the status of the availability of the Storm. As for Paul, I do hope you get famous for this. But please be aware (I am not saying this for Verizon’s benefit), it may back fire and your comments validity will not be taking seriously in the future with the track record you have so far.
