The difference between myspace and youtube is that myspace was not the first of its kind. It acted like it was but it wasn't. There were countless other sites before it. Idk if you guys will know these but off the top of my head two that pop up are Migente, Blackplanet and Xanga. They werent as popular as Myspace was but each one went away when a new one came along. Migente/Blackplanet users went to Xanga, and from Xanga people to Myspace, and now people are going from Myspace to Facebook.

With youtube, it has to compete but youtube has become something where it just needs to do some tweaks every now and again, and it will be fine. Myspace was a fad that everyone and their mama got caught up in, youtube isn't like that.
