You guys have to remember that this list is not recent; it lists the N79 as still in development, after all. As such, several devices have probably been canceled/rolled into one device/received specs boosts….who knows? This list is not a hard-and-fast guide, but more of a loose reference.

So whats the difference between half qwerty and hybrid qwerty then?

I’m guessing one is like the blackberry pearl keypad (hybrid) whats half qwerty?

looking at the OS 5.0 and 5.0.1, Tube is XpressMusic, I think IP08 and Ivalo look like N-series successors, while Corolla and Eltri are E-series. Corolla probably successor of E71 and Eltri, E90 communicator. Why only Corolla with 8MP and not the rest? Why is Nokia still remain at mainly 5MP when competitors is going 12MP? Why can’t they go for at least 8MP for the new OS 5.0 series?

I guess that makes sense.. but I guess the way I thought about it was that the upgrade was coming sooner then later. It’s kind of like just getting an iphone and then hearing the iphone 3g is coming out in a month. (zing).Besides making a business case for coming out with 2 versions of the same phone. Ultimately why not offer the better phone 1st especially when something as small as a xenon flash has been very much welcomed among consumers.but ehh fork it

people are knocking these things without even seeing them lol.

You can’t write off a phone after reading a 50 character description. Wait till they are announced and the full spec sheet revealed before drawing conclusions.

As for the N85, it’s still a safe bet. Just upgrade if/when the successor comes out. It’s simple really.

I don’t know about you but I’ve been using an N95 for over a year so I’m bout an upgrade sooner than later…

hmm I wonder how many of us would have been annoyed at the fact that there N85 will be refreshed and given a xenon flash…o patience is a virtue indeed..saves you cash too .

E71-1 / E71-2 / E71-3 are all the same phone just designed for different regions.

E71-2 is what you want if you are on AT&T.

Save me from my current windows mobile funk with some carrier subsidized, non-N75 symbian smartphones that I know you’re capable of (with full iSync support–yes, I am a mac user to disdains the iphone’s pathetic set of capabilities with the exception of pretty time wasting games).

The RM-462 is the AT&T version of the E71 — in other versions of this I’ve seen it is based on the 6680 software. Not sure what that means, really.

RM-437 (E71 downgrade with no camera and no 3G) could be interesting if it retains the stainless steel case — but I suspect that is the plastic E71 that has been floating around.

The E71-1 and E71-2 — haven’t heard anything else about them. Sigh. Better lens on the camera, guys?
