HTC Fuze makes it way into AT&T stores

Rest easy, HTC fans – it looks like AT&T is starting to get its first shipments of the HTC Fuze. We got a hold of some of pictures showing the Fuze sitting pretty in its AT&T packaging, just waiting for its launch date so it can officially go on sale. It’s so close you can practically taste it. How many of you will be hitting AT&T tomorrow morning to see if you score one of these bad boys for yourself? Hit the jump for a few more shots of the Fuze!

Not me. Let the early adopters work out the bugs. Be it iPhone, Fuze, my Tilt or any other
wireless phone. I wait a couple of months, if nothing else, to let the “new” wear off and the price to come down a bit, or for them to “sweeten” the deal. Mostly, so I can watch the forums, to see if any bugs that got by beta testing to be worked out.
What fun are you?
What are you talking about? This phone has been released for months as the HTC Pro.
The best part about getting a “new” phone is being the first with it…after the first month or even 2 weeks when everyone gets their hands on it it’s not the same anymore…just look at the iphone. The Fuze/6850/TouchPro is a great phone. The blue lettering/ on this version makes it look nicer, same goes for the Verizon version with the green lettering…the curves on the Sprint version also help.
What I can’t comprehend is how HTC can make 3 completely distinct variants of the same phone. Obviously they could’ve made one model for all three of these providers instead they all received completely different versions. Like the curves on the Sprint one is an obvious variation from the AT&T and VZW ones but even on those, apart from the green and blue colors, the AT&T one has the numbers going straight down and the Verizon one has the numbers across the QWERTY like on the 6700 and 6900. Doesn’t this cost them a lot more money since even the inputs and designs are different? Maybe I’m missing something but it is strange. As a company, even if manufacturers requested the obvious variants, it is still a bit too much.
CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
i ended up getting the Nokia E71 when it came out, i love the phone but this looks oh so much more sexy.
Looks good from the front. That diamond back is fugly though.
I get paid on Friday, so the Fuze should be in my hand by then. The best part of getting a new phone is being the first on the block to have it.
wait wait, it’s just being released? i was a-strollin round the mall recently and there were a lot of people buying it. okay, well, one guy. and he was on my left. and on my right, a guy was buying a bold 9000. i was like, DAMN i want one. but really, i was there to cancel my contract. att ripped me the heck off.
This phone is sweet. Been playing with it non-stop for hours now. Finally a Windows mobile interface that doesn’t make me want to punch a baby in the face! Definately a good alternate to an iPhone.
The Touch Pro or “Fuze” looks good. I would buy one though, it has pretty good specs. I just don’t like the small 2.8″ screen…
I will be getting this as soon as I get paid on Friday — been waiting for it for months! I actually like that AT&T kept the cool faceted back, but I HATE how they inverted the color scheme on the Fuze (to show the AT&T symbol in the background. Does anyone know if it’s possible to make the screen all black like on the Sprint version?
Hey Andrew Bell, did the phone come with an 3.5mm adapter like the one mentioned in the leaked spec sheet?

anything you could ever want to do can be done.
Whose getting this instead of the xperia x1a? say I?
@Rob – probably people who aren’t “phone geeks” like us, but want a new powerful WinMo phone. Also those people probably don’t know the X1 exists yet, and won’t until AT&T releases their own branded version.
Thank you!
Rob, if you can tell me when or if the X1 is coming to ATT. I’d get it. I heard about the X1 and Omnia coming to ATT before I heard about the Touch Pro/Fuze. That’s the problem. I have been waiting since May to use my upgrade.
@ Ben, Yes, and it’s huge!
So i’ve been waiting for this phone for MONTHS, and i’m stoked about this possible upcoming release but are these AT&T stores on another planet i’m not familiar with? I’ve called 3 AT&T stores, 2 of which said no, they won’t have it tomorrow.
the conversations went like this
“Hi will you guys be selling the htc fuze tomorrow, please say yes..”
“no” we won’t.. not til at least the 20th..
on the third call to a corporate store this lady answered who seemed genuinely nice.
“so will you guys be selling the htc fuze tomorrow, please say yes otherwise you’d break my heart.”
“umm the fuze?” let me see.. (20 seconds later)
actually we got some inventory in and if you call back later on today i can tell you what we have”
“okay thanks..”
so 2 out of three say no.. and the other one third is undecided until a few hours… what the heck? is the phone being released tomorrow or not? this phones already been delayed a couple of times and if it happens again idk if i can take it..
funny how wmexperts.com has a video of the branded fuze and it has a mini USB. Sounds like you don’t know your stuff. :/
I won’t be upgrading to the Fuze from the Tilt. It just doesn’t seem necessary. Sure, it has a VGA screen and Touchflo 3d, but I’m fine with HTC Home. Also, no tilting screen, not nearly enough buttons to remap, worse keyboard, and slightly smaller screen. I saw the Diamond at a Sprint store a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t impressed. I know small is good, but that’s probably only true for thickness, not for height and width (see iPhone). The Diamond just seemed kind of puny. And then putting a think keyboard on the bottom–it just doesnt seem like it would look or feel like a real power device. I plan to wait it out until the next generation. But that’s just me.
It takes like 20 minutes for it to load the first time. It loads all this useless windows bloatware like opera, mspacman, galaga, suduko and what not, it’s slow as molasses and and heavy as a pile of bricks….but it’s one hot damn phone.
I wouldn’t call Opera “useless Windows bloatware.”
I’ve been waiting for the Fuze for months, but now with iPhone tethering around the corner I’m on the fence again…
