T-Mobile officially announces holiday lineup, including Samsung Behold, Gravity, and new digital picture frame
Yeah, you read that one correctly. In addition to announcing a slew of new handsets, the carrier is getting set to unleash a digital picture frame that displays images sent to it via MMS. Dubbed the T-Mobile cameo, the frame is manufactured by Parrot, Inc, and should provide the carrier with a unique new market niche…or a complete disaster depending on how you look at it. If you’re interested, the cameo should be available “in the coming weeks”. Other entries for the holiday season include the Samsung Behold, which features a full touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, Samsung’s Touch-Wiz interface, and 3G data. This bad boy should be available on the 10th of November for the oh-so-reasonable price of $149.99 on a 2-year bid. The Samsung Gravity sports a full slide-out QWERTY keypad, 1.3 megapixel camera, and little else, and will be offered (as predicted) on the 17th of November for $49.99 with a 2-year contract. T-Mobz also re-iterated the current availability of the MOTOZINE ZN5. The company is also offering its free companion flight promo again for anyone activating a new line of service with a 2-year contract.

Should it be assumed that they will not be releasing the Blackberry 8900/Javelin for the holidays then?

MOM! I said I want a BOLD not this piece of shit BEHOLD! Thanks for nothing!!
i can’t wait to get my hands on a Behold. living in Atlanta, the new 3g is everywhere (so its lack of wifi isn’t much of an issue) and so long as its got a.) a decent landscape keyboard that i can use WITH TEXTING and b.) a decent browser (or ability to install some opera) it’s a done deal. the only real issue is that i’ve heard t-mo is planning some data-plan pricing shenanigans since it’s 3g.
On another note, it seems kind of odd that Tmo would want to cannibalize sales of their G1 being that they are both touchscreen.
@Lib
So is at&t gonna be cannibalizing sales of the fuze by carrying the iphone?
Different phones for different folks.
The Death Star is on a quest for world domination. I guess you are right. Iphone closed, Fuze open. In this case Behold Close G1 open.
im excited to see tmo have a decent line up but being a g1 owner, none of them make me wanna carry around 2 phones.
buts it looking good for them:
Tmobile G1
Blackberry flip
moto ZN5
Samsung Behold
Tmobile sidekick 2008
the samsung gravity (i guess for young textaholics)
ha and also on tmobile.com there selling the sidekick “id” lol, i think thats a pretty old phone but im not sure, im also not sure who would buy it.
and then later on the other blackerry phone, javelin or curve 2 i think, a reinstallment of the Shadow (haha before i was obsessed with android, to think i was pumped about this phone) and probably some other stuff.
im way happy with my g1 and it still gets alot of attention when im out at the mall and stuff, so these phones dont interest me but it seems tmo is really trying to step up there game. im excited. and Also with Sprints so called discontent with Android, it just means that tmobile gets more android yay.. there loss.
Eh that marketing piece seems to be copying the words from Bell’s new ‘ER’ campaign.

In fact I’m pretty sure you could find those words on their website. Could be wrong though =P.
@justinhub2003
That’s not a Sidekick id up there – it’s the newer Sidekick 2008.
i got to play with the behold last night, as well as the G1 two weeks before it came out…all the tmobile reps/managers have them right now. this phone lags big time!!! and the keyboard is really tiny! the browser was pretty snazzy and the camera was pretty sweet. the transition between vert. and horiz. was pathetic!!! and the screen vibrates with every press when your typing which really didnt do you any justice, the A felt the same as the L, it was kind of annoying to tell you the truth.
The Behold is out and kinda sucks. Just a regular phone with a touch screen. Nothing special. And no qwerty.
@T.O.
I have an LG VU that does the vibration every time you press a key. I like it as a heavy texter–makes me know when I have skipped something as I type. *shrug* To each their own. But I do know you can turn it off or turn down the level of vibration if you don’t like it.
