Samsung Behold makes an appearance on T-Mobile

If you’ve been holding out on getting a T-Mobile G1 in hopes that the Samsung T919, or “Behold,” will be coming soon, it looks like it might be coming much sooner rather than later. Making an appearance on the My T-Mobile site, the Behold is apparently for all you stylish fashionistas out there trying to make a statement with your phone. What could be more appropriate with this sexy 5 megapixel touchscreen phone? T-Mobile customers are finally getting another touchscreen device, and what’s more, the Behold will be utilizing the fresh 3G network from the boys in pink! Other features include a QWERTY keypad in landscape mode for all your messaging needs, assisted GPS, video recording and playback, and Bluetooth support. We’re not quite sure why T-Mobile would break out such an awesome phone without Wi-Fi and UMA, but we suppose they’re taking little steps at first - long, patience-testing steps. Either way, this could be a nice little alternative for you folks looking for something different from T-Mobile.

Thanks, Shawn!

Hmm…what’s the point if T-Mobile’s 3G coverage is spotty at best - atleast in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

I’m so wanting this phone! I have a Wing now, but dont think I can wait until a newer version is released! I know the above isn’t a WiMo phone, but is it know if it’ll have an internet sharing feature? And while on the topic of Tmobile phones, will the rumored Ameo ever surface?

Looks pretty sweet to me. I like this better than the G1. Now if this phone ran Android….it would be a no brainer! HTC sucks.

The link to where this page can be found is on the home page. It is in the November sccop newsletter. The box you have to click is located on the right side of the screen. Once you click if you will be asked to log in and then you can see the page. Not very useful yet, it gives you the option to upgrade to the behold, but when you click the page, it eith gives you an error or shows you a list of all the other phones. I called customer service about it and they weren’t able to give my any updates of even a price for a current customer. Good Luck!!!

It’s a great phone, much better than the Samsung Instinct, I personally played with the phone when I was in T-Mobile, there’s already a fans website out there at http://www.Samsung-Behold.com with a lot of good info to help you make the right decision.

A fully packed multimedia device, the Samsung Behold also offers a music and video player for users to enjoy entertainment anywhere, as well as built-in AGPS, which allows users to utilize location-based applications. With stereo Bluetooth(R) wireless technology, speakerphone and voice activated dialing, the Samsung Behold allows customers to go hands-free.

I really like the Samsung Behold, and just found out there’s a fans website already http://www.Samsung-Behold.com LOL

@ Asia the phone doesn’t have wifi, and I talked to a rep and they said they will never release a phone that has wifi and 3g. Only one or the other. But they still have web2go which isn’t that lousy.

Tmobile as put all their eggs in the G1 basket. An unfortunate decision as it is a joke for business users who are used to the functionality of the Blackberry, etc. With no access on TMobile to the Blackberry Storm, or the Sony Ericsson X1, most of their phones are 3 and 4 generations behind. And that is without even discussing the converage and WiFi issues.

I live out in the I.E. also and I’ve always had great coverage. The only time I probably got blotchy coverage was in Claremont inside my inlaws home. Other than that, Upland, Rancho, Riverside, Pomona…never have any problems.
